In cricket, an umpire is a person who has the authority to make decisions about events on the cricket field according to the Laws of Cricket. Besides making decisions about legality of delivery, appeals for wickets and general conduct of the Game in a legal manner, the umpire also keeps a record of the deliveries and announces the completion of an over.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England, and South Africa. It was renamed as the International Cricket Conference in 1965 and adopted its current name in 1987. The ICC has its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Graeme Malcolm Wood is a former Australian cricketer who played in 59 Test matches and 83 One Day Internationals from 1978 to 1989. He scored nine Test centuries in his career, which was a record for a Western Australian until it was surpassed by Justin Langer.
Ian David Blackwell is an English umpire and retired professional cricketer. A left-arm orthodox spinner and powerful middle-order batsman, he played for England at One Day International (ODI) and Test level, and most recently played county cricket for Warwickshire in the second half of the 2012 season. He was born at Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

Mark Richard Benson is an English former cricketer and umpire. A left-handed batter, Benson played for Kent for 17 years and represented England in one Test match and one One Day International in 1986. He later took up umpiring and remained on the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. In January 2016 he retired as an umpire.
Carl McArthur Tuckett is a West Indian former cricketer who played one One Day International (ODI) in 1998. He represented Leeward Islands in the West Indian domestic circuit. He is a right arm medium fast bowler. In his only ODI, he had figures of 2 wickets for 41 runs from 8 overs against England at Queen's Park Oval, Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad, on 8 April 1998. In that match, he dismissed Alec Stewart and Graeme Hick.

Bulathsinghalage Cyril Cooray, is a former Sri Lankan international cricket umpire and a former senior executive of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation. He officiated in 21 Test matches and 48 ODIs over a period of 26 years. He was well known for all the wrong reasons, especially for his infamous umpiring blunders and howlers during Sri Lanka's home test series against England in 2001. Some of his shocking umpiring decisions earned him the wrath of the fans during the course of the test match which effectively triggered angry fans to call him "Bad Call" Cooray. He also served on the ICC International Panel for Umpires.
Richard Allan Kettleborough is an English international cricket umpire, and former first-class cricketer who appeared in 33 first-class matches for Yorkshire and Middlesex. He was a left-handed top order batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. He attended Worksop College and was a member of the college cricket XI for a number of years.
The International Panel of ICC Development Umpires is a panel of international cricket umpires chosen by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Established in 2005, its members are drawn primarily from the organisation's associate members. It stands alongside, and is intended to offer a career path into the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Umpires on the panel are not restricted to matches between associate teams, and have officiated at One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International level.
Russell John Evans was an English cricketer and umpire. Evans was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born in Calverton, Nottinghamshire.
Jeffrey Howard Evans is a Welsh cricket umpire who has stood in over 200 first-class and List A matches since being named to the ECB Umpires List in 1999. He has also stood in over 100 Twenty20 matches since the inception of the format in 2003. He has also stood as an umpire in four Women's ODIs between 2002 and 2014, as well as the match between India Women and New Zealand Women in the Women's T20 Quadrangular Series in England in 2011. Born in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, he also umpired matches in the ICL 20-20 Indian Championship 2007–08.
Wendell Cleophus Labrooy is a former Sri Lankan domestic cricketer who also currently serves as an international match referee. He played as a left handed batsman and bowled right arm medium fast in domestic matches.
