Greatest Hits is a 2001 compilation album by The Cure. The band's relationship with longtime label Fiction Records came to a close, and The Cure were obliged to release one final album for the label. Robert Smith agreed to release a greatest hits album under the condition that he could choose the tracks himself. The band also recorded a special studio album released as a bonus disc to some versions of the album. The disc, titled Acoustic Hits, is the eighteen songs from the North American release re-recorded using acoustic guitars.
Greatest Hits Volume 2 is singer-songwriter James Taylor's third compilation album, released in 2000, 24 years after his first Greatest Hits album.
Billy Joel's Greatest Hits is a collection released in two sets, 12 years apart. The first set, consisting of two discs, titled Volume I and Volume II, was released in 1985. The second, single disc titled Volume III was released in 1997. "You're Only Human " and "The Night Is Still Young" were new songs and, at the time, only available on this compilation. All songs but the last three on Volume III, "To Make You Feel My Love", "Hey Girl" and "Light as the Breeze" were written by Joel. The other songs appear mostly in order of their release dates and generally represent Joel's most successful singles.
Greatest Hits: From the Beginning is the title of the first greatest hits compilation issued by American country music singer Travis Tritt. Released in 1995 on Warner Bros. Records, the album features fifteen tracks from Tritt's first four studio albums Country Club (1990), It's All About to Change (1991), T-R-O-U-B-L-E (1992), and Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof (1994). Two songs were newly recorded for this album as well: the Steve Earle-penned "Sometimes She Forgets", and a rendition of the pop standard "Only You ". The former was released as a single in 1995, reaching #7 on the Hot Country Songs charts, while the latter reached #51 on the same chart. Overall, the album was certified platinum by the RIAA for sales of one million copies.
The Greatest Hits Collection is the first greatest hits compilation album by American country music artist Alan Jackson. Released on October 24, 1995, it includes the greatest hits from his first four studio albums, as well as an album cut from his 1990 debut Here in the Real World and two new tracks — "Tall, Tall Trees" and "I'll Try", both of which were Number One hits for him on the Billboard Hot Country Songs.
The Greatest Hits Collection II is the second greatest hits compilation album by country music duo Brooks & Dunn. It is the sequel to the duo's 1997 compilation The Greatest Hits Collection. It is also the second collection of the duo's most popular releases, chronicling their greatest hits from 1998's If You See Her to 2003's Red Dirt Road, omitting songs from 1999's Tight Rope. Three new recorded tracks — "That's What It's All About", "It's Getting Better All The Time", and "Independent Trucker" — are also included on this compilation. These first two songs were released as singles, peaking at #2 and #1, respectively, on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The CD version is currently out of print; however, it is available from digital and streaming services.

Both of these songs peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts, with the latter also reaching #18 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts. The album has been certified gold by the RIAA for U.S. sales of 500,000 copies.
Mission Temple Fireworks Stand is the fifteenth studio album by the American country music band Sawyer Brown. Their first studio album since Can You Hear Me Now three years previous, it produced three singles. The first of these, which was the title track, was a collaboration with Robert Randolph. Following it was "They Don't Understand", which in late 2005 became the band's first Top 40 country hit since "800 Pound Jesus" in 2000. "They Don't Understand" was also a Top 15 on the Hot Christian Songs charts. A cover of The Georgia Satellites' "Keep Your Hands to Yourself", the third single from this album, failed to chart.

Unlike his first two albums, which were produced by Tom Shapiro, this one was produced by Liberty Records' then-president Jimmy Bowen, with Dean as co-producer. Singles from this album include "Tryin' to Hide a Fire in the Dark", "I Wanna Take Care of You", "I'm Not Built That Way" and a cover of Dave Mason's #12 1977 pop hit "We Just Disagree". Also covered here is James Taylor's "Steamroller Blues." Of these singles, "Tryin' to Hide a Fire in the Dark" and "We Just Disagree" were both Top Ten hits on the country music charts.

This was also his first release for Capitol Records Nashville, as the Nashville division of Liberty Records had been merged into Capitol. The album produced three singles: the title track at #5, followed by "That Girl's Been Spyin' on Me" at #4 and "I Wouldn't Be a Man" at #45. The album also reunited him with Tom Shapiro, who had co-produced his first two albums.
#1s… and Then Some is the title of a two-disc compilation album released on September 8, 2009 by country music duo Brooks & Dunn. It is the duo's fifth greatest hits package. The package contains two new tracks that were both released as singles, "Indian Summer" and a collaboration with ZZ Top lead guitarist Billy Gibbons, "Honky Tonk Stomp". It is their last release before their breakup in 2010 and subsequent reunion in 2015.
