The Greek Women's Water Polo Super Cup is a Water Polo club competition in Greece founded in 2020. It is an annual match between the Greek A1 Ethniki Women Champion and the Cup Winner of the same year. The matches take place in different locations. Olympiacos has the most Super Cups.

Ioannis Fountoulis is a Greek professional water polo player. He is currently the captain of Greece men's national water polo team, with whom he won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships, a bronze medal at the 2016 World League, 2020 World League and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He played for the Greek powerhouse Olympiacos since 2009, and in 2018 he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League with the Greek giants, scoring 4 goals in the final game against Pro Recco in Genoa. Is a very big scorer and leader is considered one of the top players in the world and it is typical how in 2016 and 2018 he was voted as the second top player in the world. Greek League is ranked as one of the top national domestic leagues in European water polo. The champion, the runner-up and the third-placed team qualify for the LEN Euro League.

The competition isn't held if one team has achieved the double in the previous season. The two teams are one of the most successful multi sports clubs in Greece in terms of honours, with Olympiacos being the team with the most titles in the five biggest team sports, while Ethnikos being fifth.

Patricia Del Soto Traver is a Spanish female water polo goalkeeper. In her youth, she played with Club Natació Esplugues before competing for CE Mediterrani from 1995 to 1998, and then for CN Sabadell until 2005. She moved to Greece where she played for Ethnikos Pireaus in 2006, Olympiacos in 2007 and 2008 and NC Vouliagmeni between 2009 and 2011.

Stylianos "Stelios" Argyropoulos-Kanakakis is a Greek water polo player, who is a member of Greece men's national water polo team. He is part of Greece national team that competes at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest. He started his career in Ethnikos, a club with great tradition in water polo. He was named best rookie of the Greek championship in 2015 and 2016. AEK Men's Water Polo Club is the men's water polo department of the major Greek multi-sport club, AEK Sports Club, based in Athens, Greece. The club's home ground is in Athens. It was founded in 1962 and after its dissolution in the '70s, it was re-established in 2017.

The 2020–21 season was the 96th season in existence of Olympiacos and the club's 62nd consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. The season was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and all Olympiacos' games were played behind closed doors. Olympiacos participated in the Greek Super League winning their 46th title, finishing 26 points ahead of PAOK who came second. Domestically the team participated in the Greek Football Cup as well. They reached the final where they lost to PAOK. Olympiacos qualified also for the UEFA Champions League group stage for a second consecutive season but failed to qualify to the knock-out phase. Having finished third in their group, they were then transferred to UEFA Europa League knockout phase. The season covers the period from 20 August 2020 to 22 May 2021.

The Greek Basketball Super Cup or Hellenic Basketball Super Cup, is the top-tier level professional basketball national super cup competition in Greece. The first edition of the tournament, was organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.), in 1986. It was contested by the Greek Basket League champions and the Greek Basketball Cup winners. However, the Greek Basketball Super Cup was revived in 2020, by the Hellenic Basketball Association (HEBA), under a final four tournament format.

The 2021–22 season was the 97th season in existence of Olympiacos and the club's 63rd consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. Olympiacos participated in the Greek Super League winning their 47th title, finishing 19 points ahead of PAOK who came second. Olympiacos also participated in this season's Greek Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. During the season Pedro Martins became the longest-serving Piraeus coach in a single term. The season covers the period from July 2021 to late May 2022.

The 2022–23 season was the 98th season in existence of Olympiacos and the club's 64th consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. In addition to the Greek Super League, Olympiacos participated in this season's Greek Cup, UEFA Champions League. The season covers the period from June 2022 to late May 2023.

The Greek Handball Super Cup is the third most important competition in Greek handball. The Super Cup is organised by the Hellenic Handball Federation. The first Super Cup final took place on 13 September 1999. The most successful club in the competition, Olympiacos, has won three trophies.
