A2 Ethniki Water Polo is the 2nd-tier of the Greek Water Polo championship. It is held in three groups of teams and in current season, 14 teams take part. The championship is held in two stages. [1] The two first teams of the 2nd stage promoted to A1 Ethniki. Current champions AEK won the 2019-20 A2 men's water polo season. [2]

The 2003–04 Alpha Ethniki was the 68th season of the highest football league of Greece. The season began on 23 August 2003 and ended on 22 May 2004. Panathinaikos won their 19th Greek title and their first one in eight years.
The 2002–03 Alpha Ethniki was the 67th season of the highest football league of Greece. The season began on 24 August 2002 and ended on 25 May 2003. Olympiacos won their seventh consecutive and 32nd Greek title. Olympiacos and Panathinaikos finished the League with the same points total but Olympiacos were crowned champions due to more favourable results between the two teams. It was a very dramatic end to the season, with the decisive game between the two clubs taking place in the penultimate round. The season was interrupted by strike action after television broadcaster Alpha Digital collapsed in September 2002, following which the players didn't play for a month.
The 2007–08 Super League Greece was the 72nd season of the highest football league of Greece and the second under the name Super League. The season began on 1 September 2007 and ended on 20 April 2008. The defending champions were Olympiacos. Asteras Tripolis, Veria and Levadiakos were promoted from Beta Ethniki in the previous season.
The 1961–62 Alpha Ethniki was the 26th season of the highest football league of Greece. The season began on 9 September 1961 and ended on 1 July 1962 with the play-off matches. Panathinaikos won their third consecutive and sixth Greek title.
The 1962–63 Alpha Ethniki was the 27th season of the highest football league of Greece. The season began on 23 September 1962 and ended on 30 June 1963 with the play-off match. AEK Athens won their third Greek title and their first in 23 years.

The 2009–10 Super League Greece was the 74th season of the highest football league of Greece and the fourth under the name Super League. The league consisted of 16 teams. Participants are the 13 best teams from the 2008–09 season and three teams that have been promoted from the Beta Ethniki. On 11 April 2010, Panathinaikos defeated Iraklis 2–0 to secure their 20th Greek title and their first one in six years.

The winner of the league was Olympiacos, which beat Panathinaikos in the league's playoff's finals. It was the first final of the eternal enemies in Water Polo Championship. The clubs Panionios and Nireas Lamias were relegated to the Greek A2 League.
