Aris Thessaloniki Water Polo Club is a Water Polo Club from Thessaloniki, Greece, part of A.S. Aris Thessaloniki multi-sport club. Aris currently participates in the second division, but it is the 4th most successful team in championship titles in Greece. Its home ground is Poseidoneio Hall in Thessaloniki.

Ethnikos Piraeus 1923 Football Club is a Greek football club based in Piraeus and its parent sports club is Ethnikos OFPF. The club was officially formed in 1923 as Keravnos, but existed since 1922. One year later the club was renamed to Young Boys Titan, after some players' secession that formed Peiraikos Podosfairikos Omilos. The club was renamed to Ethnikos on 23 December 1924, after it merged with Peiraikos Podosfairikos Omilos.

Created in 1914 as Aris Thessaloniki Football Club, the club was a founding member of the Macedonian Football Clubs Association, as well as the Hellenic Football Federation. The colours of the club are golden/yellow, a dominant colour in the culture of Macedonia and reminiscent of the Byzantine heritage of Thessaloniki, and black. Andreas Garyfallos was a Greek water polo player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1968 Summer Olympics. He won 17 Greek Championships from 1948 to 1968 and 6 consecutive Greek Cups with Ethnikos Piraeus. He was later head coach of Kerkyra NC, Aris Thessaloniki, Panathinaikos, Ethnikos, NC Chios, Iraklis Thessaloniki. He is considered the "Patriarch of Greek water polo".

Menelaos Chatzigeorgiou, surname alternatively transliterated Hatzigeorgiou or Hadjigeorgiou, was a Greek politician and athlete.


The 2005–06 season was the 92th season in Aris Thessaloniki F.C.'s existence. The club finished 3rd in the Beta Ethniki and promoted to Super League for the next season.
