Greenheart Games is an independent video game developer founded in July 2012 by brothers Patrick and Daniel Klug. [1] Game Dev Tycoon and Tavern Keeper, both business simulation games, are its only released games. [2]
The headquarters are in Brisbane, Australia but is served online with developers from many countries.
A year after the release of their first game, Game Dev Tycoon , Greenheart Games laid plans for their second game, Tavern Keeper, which is currently under development. [3]
Tavern Keeper is currently in alpha build. The game has been under development since 2014, and is a humorous fantasy tavern simulator. [4] This second game has been known under the name 'Game #2', and the project was kept from the public until 23 November 2016, when its announcement was sent by e-mail to subscribers of Greenheart Games' newsletter. The team had been silent about the development of Tavern Keeper, but in April 2019, Greenheart Games created a Patreon page. [10] People could buy a subscription to get behind the scenes insight on the development of Tavern Keeper. They have since hosted 40 podcasts with various members of the team sharing their experiences, struggles and successes while creating the game. One day prior to the 10th anniversary of Game Dev Tycoon, the team released the steam page for Tavern Keeper. The release date is set for Q4 2024. [9] [11]
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is a 2004 construction and management simulation video game. It is the third installment in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, and was developed by Frontier Developments and published by Atari Interactive. Planet Coaster is a construction and management simulation video game developed and published by Frontier Developments for Windows. It was released worldwide on 17 November 2016. Frontier had previously worked in the amusement park construction and management genre with RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, Thrillville, Thrillville: Off the Rails, and Zoo Tycoon. Resonite is an online virtual world platform created by Tomáš “Frooxius” Mariančík, a Czech developer, and operated by Yellow Dog Man Studios. The platform allows users to interact with others with user-created 3D avatars and worlds. Additionally, it allows users to build custom 3D content in-game. Resonite is designed primarily for use with virtual reality headsets, being available for Microsoft Windows PCs. It also has a "desktop" mode designed for mouse and keyboard.
