Greg Lawson is an American songwriter and record producer, who has written lyrics for Chicago: Music from the Miramax Motion Picture from the movie Chicago . [1] [2] He is known for soundtracks songs "Love Is a Crime" and "He Had It Comin'" from Chicago, as well as for Jennifer Lopez's "Love Don't Cost A Thing", [3] and for Anastacia tracks including "Paid My Dues" and "Love Is a Crime". [4]

"OopDeeWopDee", which was co-written and produced by Lawson, reached number 49 in Billboard magazine's chart. [5]

Kim Carnes is an American singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she began her career as a songwriter in the 1960s, writing for other artists while performing in local clubs and working as a session background singer with the famed Waters sisters. After she signed her first publishing deal with Jimmy Bowen, she released her debut album Rest on Me in 1971. Carnes' self-titled second album primarily contained self-penned songs, including her first charting single "You're a Part of Me", which reached No. 35 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in 1975. The song was written by Damon Sharpe, Greg Lawson, Georgette Franklin, Jeremy Monroe and Amille D. Harris, and produced by Ric Wake, Richie Jones and Cory Rooney. At the time of the song's release, Lopez was transitioning into a sex symbol and in a relationship with American rapper Sean Combs. Lyrically, "Love Don't Cost a Thing" is described as an "exploration of love" in which Lopez is unhappy about her materialistic lover; provoking much media analysis as to whether or not it was an innuendo towards Combs. We the Kingdom is an American contemporary Christian music band signed to the Capitol Christian Music Group.
