Greg Morris (born 1976) is an English organist and conductor.

Morris was educated at Manchester Grammar School, where he began to study the organ under Andrew Dean. Upon leaving school he took up the post of organ scholar at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. He went on to study music at Jesus College, Cambridge, where he accompanied and directed the two chapel choirs. He was organ scholar at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, before being appointed as Assistant Director of Music at Blackburn Cathedral in 2000. Whilst at Blackburn he performed the World Premiere of David Briggs' Organ Concerto and was a regular accompanist on BBC Radio 4's The Daily Service .

In September 2006 he took up the post of Associate Organist of the Temple Church in London - a post which he combines with a career as a freelance organist and choral director. Over a period of 10 months during 2017 and 2018, he performed the complete organ works of J.S.Bach in a series of 28 recitals at venues across London. [1] In July 2019 he took up a new post as Director of Music at St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey. [2]

Morris studied the organ with Paul Stubbings, John Kitchen and Thomas Trotter. He gained the FRCO (Fellow of the Royal College of Organists) diploma in 2000, winning the Limpus, Frederick Shinn and Durrant Prizes for organ playing and the Samuel Baker Prize for overall performance. [3] As a soloist he has performed at several venues both in the UK and abroad, including St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, and Brunswick Cathedral in Braunschweig, Germany.[ citation needed ] His first solo CD, Sounds Inspirational, was released in 2003. He was particularly well known for his association with the Choir of King's College, Cambridge, which he directed from 1957 to 1974, making frequent broadcasts and recordings. He is also a composer of choral and organ music, and has transcribed many orchestral works for solo organ, as well as many of Cochereau's recorded improvisations.

Paul Callaway American organist and choral conductor (1909–1995)

Paul Smith Callaway, was a prominent American organist and choral conductor, particularly well known for his thirty-eight years at the Washington National Cathedral, Washington, D.C., between 1939–1977. A friend of Leonard Bernstein and Ned Rorem, he was also active in opera and a frequent guest conductor of the Lake George Opera Company and was the founding musical director of the Opera Society of Washington in 1956, now the renowned Washington National Opera. By the time of his death in 1995, he was acclaimed for his great influence on the musical life of the nation's capital. In 1977, Callaway was appointed an Honorary Officer of The Order of the British Empire (OBE) and invested by Ambassador Peter Jay on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.

Choir of Somerville College, Oxford

The Choir of Somerville College, one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford, is mixed voice and is led by a Director of Chapel Music, currently William Dawes, incumbent since 2017. In conjunction with the organ scholars, the choir is central to the musical life of the college and, in its present form, was founded by Francis Knights and Sam Bayliss in 2001. Previous Directors of Chapel Music include David Crown, who directed the choir between 2007 and 2015. The choir sings in Somerville College Chapel every Sunday during term and performs regularly in concerts organised by Somerville Music Society. The organ of the college chapel is a traditionally voiced instrument by Harrison & Harrison. Somerville offers up to five Choral Exhibitions each year to applicants reading any subject.

Luke Bond is a British organist and is currently Assistant Organist at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, where he played prominently for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the funeral of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He has appeared internationally, and has made recordings of organ music and choral music.
