Gregory Peterson (born February 18, 1960) is a Canadian former gridiron football player who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for nine years. Peterson played defensive back for the Calgary Stampeders from 1984 to 1992. [1] He was part of the Stampeders 1992 Grey Cup winning team. Peterson was an All-Star in 1990. [2] He played college football at Brigham Young University [3] and high school football at Dr. E.P. Scarlett. [4]
Following retirement in 1993, Peterson began a career in law, [5] and is currently a partner at law firm Gowlings, specialising in business law. [1] Peterson is also a Stampeder radio commentator, [1] [6] and president of the Greater Calgary Amateur Football Association. [7]
He is the brother of NHL player and coach Brent Peterson. [8]
Robyn Regehr is a Brazilian-born Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was a first-round draft pick of the Colorado Avalanche, selected 19th overall at the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, but was traded to the Calgary Flames prior to the start of his professional career, and has also played for the Buffalo Sabres in an NHL career that has spanned 1,089 games. Regehr won his first Stanley Cup in 2014 with the Kings, his 15th year in the NHL. He was a member of the Canadian team at the 2006 Winter Olympics, and has won silver medals at the World Junior and Senior championships, as well as the championship at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey.
Matthew Stajan is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. He was a second round selection, 57th overall, of the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Stajan made his NHL debut in 2004 and was a member of the Maple Leafs until he was traded to the Calgary Flames in 2010. Stajan played his final professional season with EHC Red Bull München of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL)
The Calgary Hitmen are a Canadian junior ice hockey team based in Calgary, Alberta. The Hitmen play in the Central Division of the Western Hockey League (WHL), hosting their home games at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Bret "Hitman" Hart, a professional wrestler and Calgary native, was a founding owner and the inspiration for the team's name. Established in 1994, the team has been owned by the Calgary Flames hockey club since 1997. They are the third WHL team based in Calgary, after the Centennials and Wranglers.
Brent Ronald Peterson is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and coach. He played 11 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with four clubs, primarily as a low-scoring checker with a reputation as a strong defensive forward. He was a longtime assistant coach with the Nashville Predators, retiring in 2011 for health reasons. Peterson is now an advisor for the team.
Earl Lunsford, known as the "Earthquake", was a fullback for the Calgary Stampeders and is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
Robert Curtis McElhinney is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He previously played in the NHL with the Calgary Flames, Anaheim Ducks, Ottawa Senators, Phoenix Coyotes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning. McElhinney was drafted in the sixth-round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by the Flames, and won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
Kristopher J. Chucko is a Canadian former ice hockey player who played two National Hockey League (NHL) games for the Calgary Flames. He was a first-round selection, 24th overall, of the Flames in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and played his entire professional career in the team's organization. Chucko retired in 2011 as a result of concussions.
Miles Gorrell is a former all star offensive lineman in the Canadian Football League. The five-time divisional All-Star and two-time Outstanding Lineman finalist sits sixth on the record books for games played (321) from 1978 to 1996 for the Calgary Stampeders, Ottawa Rough Riders, Montreal Concordes, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He won one Grey Cup with Hamilton and played in two more with Winnipeg. He was a 5-time CFL Eastern Division All-Star and a 2-time CFL Outstanding Lineman finalist.
Mark McLoughlin is a former placekicker in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Calgary Stampeders from 1988 to 2003 and the BC Lions in 2005. He won three Grey Cups for the Stampeders in 1992, 1998, and 2001, and was the second leading scorer in CFL history, behind only Lui Passaglia, at the time of his retirement. Seven times he scored over 200 points in a season with a career high of 220 in 1995 and tied that mark in 1996.
Nikolas Lewis is the receivers coach for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and he is a former professional Canadian football slotback who played for 15 years in the CFL. He is a two-time Grey Cup champion, winning in 2008 and 2014 with the Stampeders. In his first season, he won the CFL Rookie of the Year award, followed by five West Division All-Star and three CFL All-Star awards. He is second all-time as a Stampeder in receptions (805), receiving yards (11,250), and touchdown catches (65) behind Allen Pitts. He also has the club record for consecutive games with a reception, with 166. On August 24, 2017, Lewis became the CFL all-time leader in receptions with 1,030 catches.
Adam Pardy is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the National Hockey League for the Calgary Flames, Dallas Stars, Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers, Nashville Predators. He also played in the Swedish Hockey League for Frölunda HC. He was selected by the Calgary Flames in the sixth round, 173rd overall, at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
The 2008–09 Calgary Flames season was the 29th season for the Calgary Flames, and the 37th for the Flames franchise in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Flames finished second in the Northwest Division, and qualified for the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs as the fifth seed in the Western Conference, their fifth consecutive appearance in the post season. Their season ended when they were defeated by the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference quarter-finals.
Nicolas "Hakeem" Kashama is a former professional gridiron football defensive end. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He played college football for the Connecticut Huskies.
The 2010–11 Calgary Flames season was the 31st season in Calgary and 39th for the Flames franchise in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Flames finished second in the Northwest Division but failed to qualify for the playoffs after finishing 10th in the Western Conference. It was the second consecutive season that the Flames missed the playoffs.

The 2013–14 Calgary Flames season was the 34th season in City of Calgary and 42nd for the Flames franchise in the National Hockey League (NHL). It was the first season of a rebuilding phase, and the first full year following the departure of long-time captain Jarome Iginla and goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff. Mark Giordano replaced Iginla as team captain. The Flames also began the year in a new division as they returned to the Pacific Division following a league-wide realignment. Change continued into the playing season as new team president Brian Burke fired general manager Jay Feaster on December 12, 2013, and assumed the role himself on an interim basis.
Stanley Myron Bryant is a Canadian football offensive lineman for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He first enrolled at Elizabeth City State University before transferring to East Carolina University. Bryant attended Goldsboro High School in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
