Greg Sansone

Greg Sansone is a Canadian sports media executive, currently the president of Sportsnet and a member of the leadership team for Rogers Sports & Media. [1]

Prior to this appointment, Greg served as vice president of programming at Sportsnet.

He previously served as vice president of television for The Score and VP of programming and general manager of Sportsnet 360, the Canadian sports channel that replaced The Score, a position he held from the new network's inception. [2]

He became vice president of The Score's programming and production in 2007, a title that would be changed to vice president of television operations. [3]

Notably, he was one of the first sports anchors to ever work for The Score. His debut was in April 1997, the same year The Score, then branded as Headline Sports, made its debut across Canadian airwaves. Prior to joining The Score, he worked as a host at the Fan 590 from 1992 to 1997 and was an editorial assistant for Global Television's SportsLine from 1991 to 1992. He was the host of the popular program The Score Tonight with Martine Gaillard until 2004. Sansone was the co-host of Score on the NFL with Cam Stewart and was also guest host for Morency, a program that was hosted by Gabriel Morency on Hardcore Sports Radio.

His sports media career began as a producer with the Fan 590 while he was still attending university, eventually landing a tryout as an on-air host.

The show was hosted by Bob McCown until June 21, 2019, when McCown left the show. After his departure, the show was hosted by Jeff Blair, with Stephen Brunt or Richard Deitsch serving as co-hosts until its final show on October 11, 2019.

NHL on Sportsnet is the blanket title for presentations of the National Hockey League broadcast held by a Canadian media corporation, Rogers Communications, showing on its television channel Sportsnet and other networks owned by or affiliated with its Rogers Media division, as well as the Sportsnet Radio chain. Sportsnet previously held the national cable rights for NHL regular season and playoff games from 1998 to 2002. In November 2013, Rogers reached a 12-year deal to become the exclusive national television and digital rightsholder for the NHL in Canada, beating out both CBC Sports and TSN.

<i>Tim & Friends</i> Canadian TV series or program

Tim & Friends is a sports talk show hosted by Tim Micallef that was produced by the Canadian sports television network Sportsnet where it aired. The program, originally known as Tim & Sid and hosted by Micallef and Sid Seixeiro, was established in 2011 as an afternoon radio show on CJCL. The program gained a television simulcast on The Score in 2013. On July 1, 2015, the program was re-launched on Sportsnet as a dedicated television program. On October 14, 2019, the Tim & Sid telecasts began simulcasting on CJCL, replacing Prime Time Sports as its late afternoon drive program. Seixeiro left the show in 2021, and the show was rebranded as Tim & Friends. During the summer of 2021, Tim & Friends stopped being simulcasted on CJCL and again became a dedicated television program. Tim & Friends concluded its run in 2023.
