Gregorio Abel Bernales Francia (born November 8, 1976, in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian retired footballer who played as a midfielder.
At the club level, Bernales played for Universitario de Deportes. He was part of the squad that became tri-champions in 2000.
Bernales has also made nine appearances for the Peru national football team. [1]
Club Universitario de Deportes, popularly known as Universitario or simply as La "U", is a Peruvian football club based in Lima. The club was founded in 1924 under the name Federación Universitaria by students of the National University of San Marcos but was forced to rename in 1931. Since 1928, the club competes in the top tier of Peruvian football, the Torneo Descentralizado. In 2000, they opened the 80,000-capacity stadium Estadio Monumental, currently the largest stadium in Peru and second-largest in South America, retiring their smaller Estadio Teodoro Lolo Fernández. Universitario and Alianza Lima participate in the Peruvian Clásico, which has its roots in the club's first participation in the Primera División in 1928. It also has rivalries with Sporting Cristal, Deportivo Municipal, and Sport Boys.

The Peruvian Olympic Committee is the National Olympic Committee for Peru which was founded in 1924 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1936.
Deportivo Wanka is a Peruvian football club, based in the city of Huancayo in the Peruvian Andes. It was founded in 1969 and is named after the Wankas people who formerly inhabited the area and after whom the city of Huancayo is named. The current Deportivo Wanka is merged with Deportivo Pesquero of Chimbote but its home city is still Huancayo. They play their home games at Estadio Huancayo. Their last First Division participation was in 2004. They protested against their relegation and were suspended from participating in any football tournament.

Sport Huancayo plays their home games at Estadio Huancayo, which can seat 20,000 spectators.
Peru v Austria was a football match played on 8 August 1936 during the Summer Olympics at Hertha Platz in Berlin. The match became notable for causing controversy after it was annulled because of a pitch invasion from Peruvian supporters who had assaulted the Austrian players. Peru had three of its five extra time goals disallowed by the referee and ended up winning the match 4–2.
