The film covers real life events – from the perspective of Andy McNab, patrol commander of Bravo Two Zero, a British SAS patrol, tasked to find Iraqi Scud missile launchers during the Gulf War in 1991. The names of the patrol members killed were changed.

Blackenstein is a 1973 American blaxploitation horror film directed by William A. Levey, and starring John Hart, Ivory Stone, Andrea King, Roosevelt Jackson, Joe De Sue, Nick Bolin and Liz Renay. It is loosely based on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. Released on August 3, 1973, it was made in an attempt to cash in on the success of Blacula; released the previous year by American International Pictures. However, Blackenstein fared poorly in comparison to its predecessor, with most reviews agreeing that the film was "a totally inept mixture of the worst horror and blaxploitation films".

In 1970 she turned to television, appearing in different television films and miniseries, in which she continued to work until 2004. Courcel is best known for her role in Serge Bourguignon's Sundays and Cybele (1962). She had notable parts in: La Marie du port, Sacha Guitry's Royal Affairs in Versailles (1954), and La Sorcière.

Yvonne d'Angers was an Iranian-born stripper and actress based out of San Francisco, California. A portrait of her seated in her dressing room is featured in the Diane Arbus collection "An Aperture Monograph" and she made headlines in 1966 after staging a protest against her deportation by chaining herself to the Golden Gate Bridge. After landing roles in the films Sappho Darling, The Seven Minutes, and Ground Zero, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband Voss Boreta where she lived until she died on June 3, 2009, at the age of 64.
