The Gubernuran Sumatera Barat is the official residence of the Governor of West Sumatra located on Jalan Sudirman, Padang opposite the Bagonjong House (office of the Governor of West Sumatra). The building that now stands imitates the style of Dutch colonial architecture, marked by a facade filled with pillars. The roof model uses the style of a traditional Padang house in the form of a roof in the shape of a rice stove. There is a large field that separates the building from road access.

Despite being damaged after the 2009 earthquake, the building was only renovated in September 2015. [1] The construction was completed in October 2016 with a total cost of Rp15.9 billion. [2] Previously, Governor Irwan Prayitno chose to live in his private home in the Lubuk Kilangan area instead of occupying the official residence. [3]
