Guido Guidi is an Italian comic book artist and penciller. He is best known for his work on Transformers comics.
A longtime Transformers fan, Guidi was brought in by Dreamwave Productions to be artist for their Transformers: Armada comic, doing issues #8-13 and returning for #18 after a four issue run by Don Figueroa. When the title changed to Transformers: Energon he drew the first two issues (#19-20) and #22. He also contributed heavily to both the G1 and Armada More Than Meets the Eye series. He was scheduled to take over from Figueroa as artist on Dreamwave's G1 ongoing series, [1] but Dreamwave went out of business before his work could be published.
Along with other Dreamwave era artists like Figueroa and James Raiz, Guidi was brought in by IDW Publishing when they acquired the Transformers licence in 2005. After some alternative covers for their flagship G1 series The Transformers: Infiltration , he was the principal artist on The Transformers: Evolutions tale Hearts of Steel. His more recent work includes The Transformers: Spotlight issues on Galvatron and Mirage, profile art for the Beast Wars: Sourcebook series and the final issue of Beast Wars: The Ascending , as well as work on issue 5 of Titan UK's Transformers magazine. His most recent work has been as the principal artist on the All Hail Megatron maxi-series.
Megatron is a fictional character from the Transformers franchise created by American toy company Hasbro in 1984, based on a design by Japanese toy company Takara. Usually portrayed as a villain, Megatron is the supreme leader of the Decepticons, a faction of war mongering Transformers who seek to conquer their home planet of Cybertron and the rest of the known universe. A cruel and power hungry leader, Megatron leads the Decepticons with an iron fist and has little to no tolerance for failure. While some Decepticons under his command have challenged and attempted to take his place as leader, Megatron maintains his power and authority over the Decepticons by proving himself as the most powerful in their ranks. He serves as the nemesis of the Autobot leader Optimus Prime. In most incarnations, after meeting his demise, usually at Optimus' hands, Megatron would be resurrected as Galvatron.
Unicron is a fictional supervillain from the many continuities in the Transformers universe and toyline. Designed by Floro Dery, he was introduced in the 1986 animated film The Transformers: The Movie and has since reappeared in Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, Transformers: Cybertron, Transformers: Prime, Transformers: The Last Knight and Atari's 2004 Transformers video game. Unicron is a prodigiously large robot whose scale reaches planetary proportions, and he is also able to transform into a giant planet. Unicron's origin has expanded over the years from simply being a large robot to being a god of chaos who devours realities. He often employs the help of Decepticons in his work, and in some stories is considered part of the origin of the Decepticon forces.

It follows the battles of sentient, living autonomous robots, often the Autobots and the Decepticons, who can transform into other forms, such as vehicles and animals. The franchise encompasses toys, animation, comic books, video games and films. Simon Christopher Francis Furman is a British comic book writer who is best known for his work on Hasbro's Transformers franchise, starting with writing Marvel's initial comic book to promote the toyline worldwide, as well as foundations for both Dreamwave Production's and IDW Publishing's takes on the Generation 1 minifranchise.
There have been three main publishers of the comic book series bearing the name Transformers based on the toy lines of the same name. The first series was produced by Marvel Comics from 1984 to 1991, which ran for 80 issues and produced four spin-off miniseries. This was followed by a second volume titled Transformers: Generation 2, which ran for 12 issues starting in 1993. The second major series was produced by Dreamwave Productions from 2002 to 2004 with multiple limited series as well, and within multiple story continuities, until the company became bankrupt in 2005. The third series is currently being produced by IDW Publishing starting with an issue #0 in October 2005 and a regular series starting in January 2006. There are also several limited series being produced by IDW as well. In addition to these three main publishers, there have also been several other smaller publishers with varying degrees of success.
Andrew Wildman is a British artist, best known for his work in comics, mainly for Marvel Comics. Wildman worked on numerous Marvel UK's titles in the late 1980s, including Galaxy Rangers, Thundercats, The Real Ghostbusters, and Transformers. His first strip work on Transformers came in #198 for the story "Cold Comfort" and "Joy". He would rapidly ascend to being one of the key members of the title's art team, often working with inker Stephen Baskerville.
Founded in 2000 by Sven Harvey, Auto Assembly was a Transformers convention held in Birmingham, UK and run by the science-fiction fan organisation Infinite Frontiers. The first event was held in October 2000 and was held annually until the final event in 2015. The event was very originally called "The Auto-Assembly", and came to be referred to colloquially as "AA".

Transformers: Generation One was a Dreamwave Productions comic book series, consisting of two six-issue limited series and an ongoing title. Within the same continuity were three other Dreamwave series: a series of character profiles entitled Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye, a prequel miniseries entitled, Transformers: Micromasters and another prequel ongoing miniseries called Transformers: The War Within. In addition, a single story was part of the Transformers Summer Special. All ongoing series were cancelled in 2005 due to Dreamwave's bankruptcy, leaving their plotlines unresolved.

Transformers: Beast Wars is an entertainment franchise from Hasbro, and is part of the larger Transformers franchise. The franchise directly follows the Transformers: Generation 1 continuity established by the 1984 series and animated film. It ignores the continuity established by the Japanese Transformers series, though this franchise would have two exclusive Japanese series of its own. Previous to Beast Wars, Hasbro had attempted to relaunch the original toys and animation as Transformers: Generation 2. Hasbro intended another franchise titled Transtech to follow, combining Beast Wars and Generation 1 characters and aesthetics, but this was cancelled. Instead the franchise began a series of reboots, beginning with the Japanese-produced Transformers: Car Robot series, internationally known as Transformers: Robots in Disguise.
