Guilherme Matheus dos Santos (born 9 February 2002), simply known as Guilherme Matheus, is a Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays as a centre-back for Jarun Zagreb.
Guilherme Matheus began his career in the youth teams of Barcelona Capela, from Capela do Socorro, São Paulo. In 2018, he had a quick spell at Guarujá, arriving the following season at São Paulo, where he was U17 state champion. [1]
In 2022, he was loaned to Ceará SC and used in the Campeonato Brasileiro de Aspirantes, returning to São Paulo FC in 2023, where his contract was renewed. [2] [3] He was loaned to Azuriz to compete in the 2023 Campeonato Paranaense, and in July, to Santo André where he played in the Copa Paulista. [4] He returned to São Paulo in November and participated in an excursion for the club's young players to Italy. [5] [6]
In 2024 Guilherme was definitively transferred to Santo André, where it was not used during the Campeonato Paulista campaign. On 13 March he was announced as a reinforcement of FC Petroclub of Moldova. [7] On 17 August 2025, Guilherme Matheus was announced as a reinforcement for the Croatian club Jarun Zagreb. [8]
