Guillaume Senez (born 6 July 1978) is a Belgian film director and screenwriter. He studied at the National Institute of Radioelectricity and Cinematography (INRACI) in Brussels and graduated from there. He made his feature-length debut in 2015 with Keeper , which premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. [1] The film received eight nominations at the 7th Magritte Awards and won three, including Best First Feature Film. [2]

His next film, Our Struggles (2018), was screened in the International Critics' Week section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and released to critical acclaim. [3] At the 9th Magritte Awards, it won five awards (the most for the event), including Best Film and Best Director for Senez. [4]

The 7th Magritte Awards ceremony, presented by the Académie André Delvaux, honored the best films of 2016 in Belgium and took place on 4 February 2017 at the Square in the historic site of Mont des Arts, Brussels, beginning at 8:00 p.m. CET. During the ceremony, the Académie André Delvaux presented Magritte Awards in 22 categories. The ceremony was televised in Belgium by BeTV. Actress Virginie Efira presided the ceremony, while Anne-Pascale Clairembourg hosted the show for the first time.

<i>Let the Corpses Tan</i>

Let the Corpses Tan is a 2017 Weird Western crime film directed and written by Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani. The film is based on the novel Laissez bronzer les cadavres by Jean-Patrick Manchette and Jean-Pierre Bastid. The film involves a gang of thieves who obtain 250 kg of stolen gold who arrive at the home of an artist who is caught in a love triangle. The scenario quickly escalates into a day long gun fight between police and robbers.

Lukas Dhont is a Belgian film director and screenwriter. He made his feature-length debut in 2018 with Girl, a drama film inspired by the story of Nora Monsecour which focuses on a trans girl pursuing a career as a ballerina. Girl premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Caméra d'Or award, for best first feature film, as well as the Queer Palm.
