It is located in Avenida de las Granjas, close to Metro Ferrería Station, 'Fortuna' station of the Suburban Railway and next to TecMilenio University.
The 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Championships were the World Championships for track cycling in 2010. They took place at the Ballerup Super Arena in Ballerup, Denmark from 24 to 28 March 2010.
Ballerup Super Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena, in Ballerup, Denmark. It has a seated capacity of 6,500. During concerts, the arena can accommodate an audience of up to 9,200. It is owned by Ballerup Municipality. The arena is also a venue for many company events, conferences, team building events, trade fairs, company sports events and cycling events.
The Palacio de Recreación y Deportes German Wilkins Vélez Ramírez is a coliseum located in the city of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. It has capacity for 5,500 spectators. It was remodeled in preparation for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. In March 2008, José Guillermo Rodríguez, mayor of the city, announced in a concert given by Wilkins that after the Central American and Caribbean Games the arena would have the name of Germán Wilkins Vélez Ramírez, commonly known as Wilkins. Wilkins inaugurated the arena with a concert 20 years before. The arena also has an acoustic conch outside, it bears the name of another Mayagüez native Frankie Ruiz.
The cycling competition at the 2010 Commonwealth Games comprised two disciplines: road cycling and track cycling. The track events were held at the Indira Gandhi Arena, while the road events were held at Noida–Greater Noida Expressway. Track events were held from 5–9 October 2010.
The National Indoor BMX Arena is an indoor BMX racing stadium, located in Sportcity, Manchester, UK. The arena is situated next to the Manchester Velodrome and the buildings share a common entrance as part of the National Cycling Centre. The stadium cost £24 million, seats 2,000 spectators and is home to British Cycling. It was designed by Ellis Williams Architects, and built by contractors Sir Robert McAlpine.
The Commonwealth Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, known for sponsorship reasons as the Emirates Arena, is an indoor arena and velodrome in Dalmarnock, Glasgow, Scotland. Built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, these venues hosted the badminton and track cycling events. Situated opposite Celtic Park in the East End of Glasgow, the complex is the headquarters of Sportscotland and Scottish Cycling.
The Saryarka Velodrome is an indoor cycle-racing track or velodrome that is located in Astana, Kazakhstan. Constructed in the shape of a racer's helmet, the velodrome is a unique sports complex that not only houses a cycling track, but its 58,000 metre square surface area also contains a sports courts, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, a basketball court, an ice rink, as well as conference halls, a restaurant and a hotel. It is mainly used for cycling and basketball.
Guillermo Timoner Obrador is a retired Spanish cyclist. With six gold and two silver medals won in the UCI Motor-paced World Championships between 1955 and 1965 he is one of the most successful motor-paced racers of all times. During his career, which spanned 52 years, he also won 29 national titles in various cycling disciplines.
Derby Arena is a multi-use indoor arena and velodrome at Pride Park in Derby, England. It was opened in 2015 and has hosted cycling, badminton and entertainment events. Derby Arena is open to the public to use its 250m indoor cycle track, state-of-the-art 140 station gym, exercise studios and sports infield which is the size of 13 badminton courts. The Arena also has a café and bar plus event, conferencing, meeting and hospitality rooms available to hire.
