Hemne is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was incorporated into Heim Municipality. It was part of the Fosen region. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Kyrksæterøra. Other villages included Heim, Hellandsjøen, Holla, and Vinjeøra. The European route E39 highway runs through the southern part of Hemne.

After his political career he was Director General of the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate 1996–2007. He was also member of the Norwegian Nobel Committee from 1997 to 2002, as leader from 2000 to 2002.
Olav Gunnar Ballo is a Norwegian former politician for the Socialist Left Party (SV). Ballo changed party to Arbeiderpartiet in 2011. Ballo was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Finnmark in 1997. He studied medicine at University of Würzburg, and has worked as a medical doctor. Ballo represented SV in Alta municipality council from 1991 to 1997. Ballo was the leader of the National Forensics Institute in Norway between 2009 and 2010/2011.
Vestvannet is a lake located within the municipality of Sarpsborg in Østfold county, Norway. The lower part of the lake is a protected area included in the Vestvannet Nature Reserve.

Jordalsvatnet is a lake in the municipality of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. The 0.57-square-kilometre (140-acre) artificial lake has a small dam on the western end and it is the main source of drinking water for the borough of Åsane in the city of Bergen, as well as the Ytre Sandviken parts of the neighboring Bergenhus borough. The lake lies east of the village of Eidsvåg, with the European route E39 highway running along the western shoreline. The surrounding valley of Jordalen is primarily agricultural in nature.

Gunnar Andreassen was a Norwegian football player and manager. He played on Fredrikstad FK from 1933 to 1950, except during the World War II German occupation of Norway. He appeared twice on the Norway national team, in 1939 and 1945. Andreassen managed Fredrikstad from 1953 to 1956 and Østsiden IL from 1959 to 1962.

A Veiki moraine is a type of moraine found in northern Sweden, Troms og Finnmark in Norway, and parts of Canada. This moraine is characterized by forming a hummocky landscape of irregular moraine plateaus with elevated rims that are intercalated with ponds. Gunnar Hoppe was the first to define the Veiki moraine concept in 1952, naming it after a locality consisting of two farms located about 10 kilometers north of Gällivare and Malmberget. To the east in Finnish Lapland, a moraine type similar to Veiki moraine but smaller is known as Pulju moraine since 1967.
