Previously he received the American Philatelic Society Luff Award in 2003 for Outstanding Service to the Society. Walker is a philatelic judge and was on the international jury for Praga 2018 and for Chicagopex 2019.
Baron Axel de Reuterskiöld, known as de Reuter to his friends, was a Swedish philatelist who signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1921. He was an expert in the stamps of Switzerland. Together with the French banker and philatelist Paul Mirabaud he wrote the standard reference work: "Les Timbres Postes de la Suisse 1843-1860" which was published in 1899. The book is considered very well researched and the first published deep study of Swiss philately. In some fields the book is still considered a standard reference and has been the basis for many more modern or more particular enquiries into the field of the Swiss classical issues.

Hedwige Alma Lee FRPSL RDP was a Swiss-born naturalised British philatelist who specialised in the stamps of Switzerland and in topical collecting. She won large gold medals for her displays at Naba 1984, Stockholmia 1986, Hafnia 1987 and Finlandia 1988 and her collection was exhibited in the Court of Honour at PhilexFrance 1989 and New Zealand 1990. She signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1991 and later became the only non-resident member of the Consilium Philateliae Helveticae. The Royal Philatelic Society London award the Lee Medal in memory of Alma and her husband Ron.
Marquis Guy de Fayolle was a French philatelist who was added to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1939. In 1913 he won a gold medal at the Exposition Philatelique Internationale in Paris for his display of the stamps of Greece. His collection of the classic stamps of Mexico was sold by Harmers in 1956.

Jean Winkler was a Swiss philatelist who was added to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1971. One of the first collectors to interest himself in Swiss Prephilately he belonged to the small group of first-generation pioneers in this then very exotic field of collectiong covers without stamps. His first work on the subject, "Les Marques Postales de la Suisse 1695-1850" played an important role in firmly establishing the rich field of prephilately in the Swiss philatelic landscape. His subsequent revised and extended book "Handbuch der Vorphilatelie" (1968) remains the definitive reference work on Swiss prephilately to this day.
