Himsagar Express is a weekly express train of the Indian Railways running between Kanyakumari in India's southernmost state of Tamil Nadu to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in Jammu and Kashmir- the northernmost state of India. It is currently the third longest running train on the Indian Railways in terms of distance and time, surpassed by the Dibrugarh–Kanyakumari Vivek Express and Thiruvananthapuram - Silchar Superfast Express. In 72 hours, the train covers a distance of 3787 km at a speed of 52 km/h, and transverses twelve of India's states halting at a total of 73 stations.

Introduced as a tri-weekly, it was the first State named train of the south. It runs between Chennai Central and New Delhi. It is considered as the fastest non-Rajdhani Express train. In 1976, it was a tri-weekly train, then made four times a week just before the 1982 Asian Games and then converted to a daily train by Madhav Rao Scindia in June 1988 and who added Gwalior to the stoppages. Numbered 12621/12622, this train belongs to the Superfast category of Indian Railways. It runs with highly refurbished LHB Coaches from 22nd November 2020.

Taj Express was started along the lines of Deccan Queen- which ran as a high-speed commuter-special train between Pune Junction and CSMT Mumbai - and provided a quick and comfortable journey between Agra and Delhi. It was a very popular train especially among foreign tourists, before the Bhopal Shatabdi was introduced in 1988. The train was later extended up to Gwalior, then to Jhansi in 2006.It was named after Taj Mahal

Gaya Junction railway station is a junction station serving the city of Gaya, the headquarters of Gaya district and Magadh Division in the Indian state of Bihar. Gaya is in the Mughalsarai railway division of the East Central Railway zone. Grand Chord rail-line that connects Howrah and New Delhi passes through Gaya. It starts from Hyderabad Deccan Nampally and covers 1,677 km (1,042 mi) with an average speed of 64 km/h (40 mph) takes around 26 hours and 40 minutes to reach New Delhi. It takes 26 hours and 10 minutes from New Delhi to Hyderabad Deccan Nampally. The train got LHB rakes w.e.f. 15 July 2019.
