Gyanjyoti Higher Secondary School, [1] situated at Rajgadh is a school of Jhapa district located south-east of the headquarters Chandragadhi. Initially started as primary level at Mr. Narayan Dhakal's house (former Principal) in 1949 BS, it has got its registration since 2051 BS. Later in 2057 BS, it produced the first S.L.C. Batch.

He was a CPN UML Candidate for House of Representatives from Jhapa 3 (constituency) but he lost the election and In 2017 Nepalese local elections. He was again CPN UMLCandidate for the post of Mayor of Mechinagar Municipality but lost the election.
