Gyanjyoti Higher Secondary School, [1] situated at Rajgadh is a school of Jhapa district located south-east of the headquarters Chandragadhi. [2] Established in 1994 (2051 BS), it is providing education to the students. Initially started as primary level at Mr. Narayan Dhakal's house (former Principal) in 1949 BS, it has got its registration since 2051 BS. Later in 2057 BS, it produced the first S.L.C. Batch.

Shivasatakshi is a municipality in the southeastern part of Jhapa District in the Koshi Province of eastern Nepal. Daulat Bikram Bista was a writer and poet of Nepali literature. He was born on 9 October 1925 in Bhojpur and died on 1 January 2002. His writing dealt with social issues, mainly the exploitation and discrimination of the poor and downtrodden.

Bishnu Prasad Prasain is a Former Governor of Bagmati Province. He was Appointed as the Governor, as per the Article 163 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, by the President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal on 4 November 2019. In 2051 BS, he was the Executive Chairman of the Nepal Tea Development Board and in 2054 BS, He served as the Deputy Chairman of the District Development Committee of Jhapa District. In 2056 BS. He was a CPN UML Candidate for House of Representatives from Jhapa 3 (constituency) but he lost the election and In 2017 Nepalese local elections. He was again CPN UMLCandidate for the post of Mayor of Mechinagar Municipality but lost the election.

Nityaraj Pandey was a Nepalese writer. Mahakavi Devkota, a biography of Laxmi Prasad Devkota is one of his most notable work.
