H. K. Prakash is an Indian film producer and businessman best known for his Kannada films. He has produced successful Kannada films like RangiTaranga and Avane Srimannarayana under his production banner Shree Devi Entertainers .

Career

After succeeding in real estate business, Prakash entered Kannada Film Industry with the film RangiTaranga, [1] [2] which was directed by Anup Bhandari. RangiTaranga turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters. It also opened overseas market for Kannada films in a big way. It became the first Kannada film to release in many countries, the first Kannada film to appear on the New York Box Office Listing and the first and only Kannada film to run for 50 days in USA. [3] [4] [5] [6] RangiTaranga was also one of the 305 films shortlisted for the Academy Awards (The Oscars) but did not make it to the final nominations [7] . Since then Prakash has been into film production frequently.

Rajaratha is a 2018 Indian Kannada-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Anup Bhandari, who also composed the film's music. It stars Nirup Bhandari and Avantika Shetty in the lead roles in their second collaboration with the director after the success of RangiTaranga. The film was dubbed in Telugu as Rajaratham with Rana Daggubati replacing Puneeth Rajkumar as the narrator. Arya, who made his debut in Kannada cinema with the film, features in a supporting role alongside P. Ravishankar. While the film score is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, the soundtrack is composed by Anup Bhandari. The cinematography is by William David.

Avane Srimannarayana is a 2019 Indian Kannada-language fantasy adventure comedy film directed and edited by Sachin B. Ravi in his directorial debut. Jointly produced by Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah and H.K.Prakash, the film features Rakshit Shetty and Shanvi Srivastava in lead roles. B. Ajaneesh Loknath and Charan Raj composed the soundtrack, with the former composing the score, whereas Karm Chawla handled the cinematography. Described by Shetty as "Southern Odd Fiction", the film follows a corrupt police officer who takes on a bandit chief in order to recover a missing treasure in the 1980s.

William David is an Indian cinematographer, who is best known for his work in Rangitaranga with director Anup Bhandari.

Chandan Achar is an Indian theatre and film actor who works in Kannada. He is known for his works in movies including Kirik Party and Chemistry of Kariyappa. For his performance in the film Kirik Party, he got SIIMA award for Best Actor in Supporting Role (Male) in 2017. He was also a contestant in the reality show of Bigg Boss Kannada.
