H. Rajesh Prasad [1] was an Indian politician who served as the Governor of Lakshadweep from 7 November 2012 to 22 October 2015.
Presently Mr. Prasad is posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Jammu &Kashmir,India,managing the department of Energy.
Mr. Prasad is an IAS Officer ( a premier civil service in India) of 1995 batch borne on the AGMUT (UT) cadre,India,and has held several important positions. notable amongst them are District Magistrate in South Goa,West Kamang District in Arunachal Pradesh,South Delhi and North East Delhi over a period of 8 years. Commissioner,Lands in Delhi Development Authority ( DDA),Commissioner,VAT/GST in Delhi,as Principal Secretary to the Govt. of Delhi,helmed the important Departments such as Urban Development,Education,Higher Education,Technical Education and Training,Public Works Department,Co-operation,Health and Family Welfare,etc.
Mr. Prasad has diverse educational background in subjects such as Commerce,Management,Finance,Public Administration,History,Law etc.
Prasad has completed his graduation in commerce stream and further completed Master of Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management,Bangalore. [2] Master of Public Management from Pondicherry University and LLB from Delhi University.

The Government of India,also known as the Central Government or simply the Centre,is the national authority of the Republic of India,a federal democracy located in South Asia,consisting of 28 union states and eight union territories.
The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative arm of the All India Services of Government of India. The IAS is one of the three arms of the All India Services along with the Indian Police Service and the Indian Foreign Service. Members of these three services serve the Government of India as well as the individual states. IAS officers are also deployed to various government establishments such as constitutional bodies,staff and line agencies,auxiliary bodies,public sector undertakings,regulatory bodies,statutory bodies and autonomous bodies.
The district magistrate,also known as the district collector or deputy commissioner,is a career civil servant who serves as the executive head of a district's administration in India. The specific name depends on the state or union territory. Each of these posts has distinct responsibilities,and an officer can assume all of these roles at once. The district magistrate is primarily responsible for maintaining law and order,while the district collector focuses on revenue administration,and the deputy commissioner is in charge of overseeing developmental activities and coordinates government departments. The All India Services (AIS) comprises three civil services in India common to the centre and state governments,which includes the Indian Administrative Service (IAS),the Indian Police Service (IPS),and the Indian Forest Service (IFS). Civil servants recruited through All India Services by the central government are assigned to different state government cadres. Some civil servants may,later in their career,also serve the centre on deputation. Officers of these three services comply to the All India Services Rules relating to pay,conduct,leave,various allowances etc.
The Indian Forest Service (IFS) is one of the three All India Services of the Government of India. The other two All India Services being the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service. It was constituted in the year 1966 under the All India Services Act,1951,by the Government of India.
Greater Noida is a planned city located in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
