HC Sierre is a professional ice hockey team, in Switzerland currently playing in the Swiss League (SL). Sierre has played in each of the top Swiss hockey leagues the National League (NL) and Swiss League (SL). It has also played several years in the lower tiers of the ice hockey leagues system in Switzerland. Sierre the affiliate to National League club Genève-Servette HC, agreeing to a four-year partnership through 2022. [1]
After claiming the MySports League (MSL) Championship, formerly the Regio league, with a victory over HC Valais-Chablais in the 2018–19 season, HC Sierre was promoted to return to the Swiss League on 30 March 2019. [2]
The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues. The capital city's club SC Bern has been ranked first of all European clubs for 18 seasons and had an average attendance of 16,290 after the regular season. The ZSC Lions are another club in the top ten of European ice hockey attendance, ranking seventh with 9,694 spectators.
Hockey Club Davos is a professional Swiss ice hockey club based in Davos, Switzerland. Davos plays in the National League (NL). It is generally referred to by its abbreviation "HCD" by the fans. The team is usually a strong force in the league and often bolster their roster with Swiss national team players and players who once played for National Hockey League teams. HC Davos also has hosted the annual Spengler Cup tournament, an invitational competition, since 1923.
Genève-Servette Hockey Club, also known as Genève-Servette HC, is a professional ice hockey club based in Geneva, Switzerland and competing in the National League (NL), the top tier of the Swiss hockey league system. The team plays their home games at the Patinoire des Vernets, which has a seating capacity of 7,135.
The Swiss League is the second tier of the main professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, behind the National League. The winners of the league each season plays a best-of-seven series against the bottom team of the NL, and if they win, they are promoted, while the National League team is relegated to the Swiss League.

Mario Pouliot is a Canadian former ice hockey coach and general manager. He began coaching in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) as an assistant coach with the Saint-Hyacinthe Laser. He later coached the Collège Antoine-Girouard Gaulois for eight seasons, and once held the Quebec AAA Midget Hockey League record for the most career wins by a head coach. He also led the Gaulois to the finals of the 2003 Air Canada Cup for the Canadian national Midget AAA championship. He later served two terms as an assistant coach for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies around a head-coaching stint for the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. During this time, he was chosen as head coach of Team Quebec at the 2011 World U-17 Hockey Challenge.
