Background

HR.com Limited is a privately held company based in Jacksons Point, Canada. [1] HR.com was established in 1999 by Debbie McGrath, who previously set up CEO Group Inc., which was later sold to the Washington Post. [2] It was originally set up as an online magazine for HR professionals, [3] but was subsequently turned into a social network.

HR.com has conducted industry surveys with results featured in trade publications such as CNY Business Journal, [4] Training & Development, [5] Canadian Manager, [6] and Atlanta Business Chronicle. [7]

Executive education refers to academic programs at graduate-level business schools for executives, business leaders and managers, globally. These programs are generally non-credit and non-degree-granting, but sometimes lead to certificates, and some offer continuing education units accepted by professional bodies and institutes. Estimates by Business Week magazine suggest that executive education in the United States is an $800 million annual business, with approximately 80% provided by university-based business schools. Many traditionally upper tier schools, as well as business schools and other academic institutions, offer these programs.

In human resource development, induction training introduces new employees to their new profession or job role, within an organisation. As a form of systematic training, induction training familiarises and assists new employees with their employer, workforce and job design. The scale of induction training varies between organisations, with smaller firms typically conducting induction in the early months of employment, in comparison to larger corporations who dedicate greater time and resources to its completion.

The company primarily provides human resources and financial services consulting services to its clients.

ECO Canada is an online resource for environmental jobs, certification and training established in 1992 as part of Canada's sector council initiative. Sector councils are organizations that address human resource challenges facing the Canadian economy. With the support of private sector investors and the Government of Canada’s Department of Human Resources and Social Development, ECO Canada works to determine the skills and human resource needs of Canada’s environment industry.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is an association for human resource management professionals. Its headquarters are in Wimbledon, London, England. The organisation was founded in 1913—it is the world's oldest association in its field and has over 160,000 members internationally working across private, public and voluntary sectors. Peter Cheese was announced in June 2012 as CIPD's new CEO from July 2012.

The University of Atlanta was a private, for-profit, distance education university headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. It opened in Mobile, Alabama as Barrington University until it received accreditation in 2008. It relocated to Atlanta in 2008 and changed to University of Atlanta and was authorized by the State of Georgia's Nonpublic Post Secondary Education Commission. Until it closed June 30, 2013, the University of Atlanta was accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council.

VCCircle, founded in 2005, is an Indian information services group with presence in online business news, data, events and training for private equity and venture capital fund managers, entrepreneurs, investment bankers, corporate executives and lawyers. It currently employs about 100 people and is owned by the New Delhi-headquartered Mosaic Media Ventures Private Limited with offices in Okhla in Delhi-National Capital Region, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The company was acquired in 2015 by News Corp, and later by HT Media Limited in 2020. Leslie D'Monte joined as the Executive Editor of VCCircle and TechCircle in August, 2021.

Natter was a social network, often referred to as a "microblogging" or even "micro-microblogging" platform. Natter allowed its users or “natterers” to post up to 100 characters and an image in each post, which could then be seen by any online users.
