The HSC Aspasia T, is an inactive (as of 2011) passenger ferry speedboat, which was part of the fleet of the Lesvos Shipping Company (NEL) - NEL Lines. She was built in 2000 at Alsthom Leroux Naval S.A. of France as the Aeolos Express. She could hold a total of up to 1000 passengers and 210 vehicles (146 I.X. and 12 trucks) and was powered by four [1] Pielstick diesel engines with a combined 32,400 kilowatts (43,400 hp ) and reached speeds of up to 36 knots (67 km/h; 41 mph). She had Pullman seats for people of economy and 1st class passengers, economy and 1st class bar, 127 satellite TVs, headsets for music in the seats, elevator for passengers, escalator staircase, reception, Jewellery safekeeping room, telephone and toilets for disabled, and was fully-airconditioned. She took her name from Aeolus, the mythical treasurer of the winds according to Greek Mythology, but also Costas Kenteris, a modern Greek runner.
She was the first Greek monohull passenger highspeed craft, i.e. with one keel. [2] The ship has been laid up in Selinina, Salamina, since 2011. The ship will be very difficult to return to operating condition, due to the dissolution of NEL. In 2019, the ship was purchased by ANEN, but it remains unknown if and when she will return to active action. [3]
The ship was built in 2000 at the French shipyard Alsthom Leroux Naval S.A. as Aeolos Express. She was the first of three passenger-vehicle "super-highspeed" ferries ordered by NEL and belonged to the Corsaire 12000 type. [4] The other two were the Aeolos Express II (later Aeolos Kenteris II) and the HSC Aeolos Kenteris.
In her early years, she faced reliability problems due to problems with Pielstick diesel engines, which caused the company's name to be shaken, something to which both delays and minor problems also contributed. Although a team of engineers from France came to Greece to repair them, the problem remained. On September 15, 2006, the company announced that it was reaching a settlement with Semt Pielstick, "after almost a year of litigation in French courts". Thus, the propulsion machines were restored and upgraded, a two-year guarantee of the mechanical parts was introduced and immediate payment to NEL Lines of the amount of 10 million euros. [5]
On September 28, 2007, the sale of Aeolos Kenteris was announced, and thus the two highspeed crafts Aeolos Express and Aeolus Express II were renamed Aeolos Kenteris I and Aeolos Kenteris II respectively, in her honor. [5] After the renaming, Aeolos Kenteris I was launched on the line Piraeus-Rethymnon. [6]
From March to October 2010, she was chartered by the French SNCM, as the NGV Liamone II, for routes between Nice and Corsica. [7]
In 2011, after 11 years of operation, she was laid-up in a carnagio in Selinia, Salamina. On November 20, 2019, and after many fruitless auctions, the ship was bought at an auction by ANEN with a price of 2.020 million euros and a first bid price of 2 million euros. [3] She was finally registered within the company a year later. [8]

A high-speed craft (HSC) is a high-speed water vessel for civilian use, also called a fastcraft or fast ferry. The first high-speed craft were often hydrofoils or hovercraft, but in the 1990s catamaran and monohull designs become more popular. Most high-speed craft serve as passenger ferries, but the largest catamarans and monohulls also carry cars, buses, large trucks and freight.
NEL LINES was established in 1972, as a company of popular base with shareholders the residents of Lesvos island and primary aim the purchase of a liner vessel for the Mitilini-Chios-Piraeus route. Since then, the company has expanded, serving most of the Aegean sea destinations.
Attica Holdings S.A. is an operator of international ferry services in Europe. Attica Group's operations include its subsidiaries Superfast Ferries, which began in 1995 with the launch of its first ships, Superfast I & Superfast II, and Blue Star Ferries which operates ferries in the Aegean Sea to the Greek islands. In June 2018 Attica Group increased its share in Hellenic Seaways to 98.83%. Hellenic Seaways is 100% controlled by the Attica Group following the acquisition of minority interest of 1.17% in July 2019. In December 2023 it absorbed 100% of ANEK Lines, rendering the operator number two in the number of passengers commuted in Europe.

Papyrus 49 (Gregory-Aland), designated by 𝔓49, is an early copy of the New Testament in Greek. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Epistle to the Ephesians, surviving in a fragmentary condition. The manuscript has been palaeographically assigned to the 3rd century. It was probably a part of the same manuscript as Papyrus 65. It came from Egypt and was purchased for the Yale University Library. Textually it is close to the Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus. The text of the manuscript has been published several times.

The surviving texts of James are verses 3:13-4:4; 4:9-5:1, they are in a fragmentary condition. The manuscript has been assigned paleographically to the late 3rd century, or early 4th century.

Elyrosis a Greek ferry, which is the second newest ship, being part of ANEK Lines fleet, following Asterion II. She is a motor Ro-Ro/Passenger ferryboat, built in 1998 at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard at Shimonoseki, Japan, and put into service by ANEK at 2008. It holds a total of 1,874 passengers and 620 vehicles, She has 323 passenger air type seats. She has two Pielstick 12PC4-2 engines, with combined power of 26,180 kW and reaches speeds of up to 24 knots. It also has an internet cafe. The ship has been awarded by ShipPax Awards 2009 as the ship with the best retrofit for 2008. It was named after Elyros; an ancient city of southwestern Crete.
The MS El. Venizelos is a Greek ferry, and 2nd oldest ship in the ANEK Lines fleet. It is a motor Ro-Ro/Passenger ferryboat, built in 1984 at Stocznia im. Komuny Paryskiej, Gdynia, Poland as Stena Polonica and completed in 1992 in Perama, Piraeus, Greece as El Venizelos. It is one of 4 sister ships, Stena Vision and Stena Spirit, both owned by Stena Lines, and the unfinished Lelakis' Regent Sky. It can hold a total of 2300 passenger and 850 cars and has 1606 beds for passengers. It has four Zgoda-Sulzer 16ZV 40/48 diesel engines, with combined power of 34,130 kW and can reach a speed of 22 knots.It also has WiFi Internet, two restaurants. two bars, an amusement arcade, a casino, a church, a duty-free shop, a playground, a hospital, escalators, elevators, air-conditioning and a swimming pool and its cabins can be either "lux", 2-bed, 4-bed, or for the disabled. It is named after Eleftherios Venizelos, a Greek politician who served as Prime Minister of Greece and has Cretan origins. On 30 March El Venizelos laid-up since three days in Piraeus Anchorage had cases with the COVID-19. On 2 April at nine pm El Venizelos moored at the Piraeus Port. From 25 April 2020 to 13 April 2023 she was laid up at Perama.

The MS Mytilene was a ferry ship of Greece, which used to be part of NEL Lines' fleet. She was built in 1973 in Japan as the Vega and put into service for NEL in 1992. She is a sister ship of Virgo, which also came to Greece as the GA Ferries' Rodanthi. She could accommodate up to 1300 passengers and 225 vehicles. The shipis powered by two Pielstick 16PC2-5V diesel engines with a maximum combined power of 19,200 bhp and reached service speeds up to 21 knots and maximum speed up to 23.8. She had economy class seating, a salon and bar for A and economy class passengers, a self service restaurant, dining room, jewellery safekeeping room, telephone and gift shop. She took her name from Mytilene, the largest city and capital of Lesvos.
The HSC Aeolos Kenteris, is an inactive passenger highspeed craft which was part of the fleet of the Lesvos Shipping Company (NEL) - NEL Lines. She was built in 2000 at Alsthom Leroux Naval S.A. of France. She could hold a total of 1742 passengers and 442 private vehicles. .She was powered by a CODAG propulsion plant, with a power of 66.2MW, two MTU GE LM2500 diesel engines with gas turbines, each with power 25,000 kW at 3,600 rpm, Renk BS 210 gearboxes and Kamewa 200 511 waterjets, which allowed her to reach speeds of up to 40 knots. Previously, she also had two Pielstick 20PA6B STC diesel engines with a power of 8,100 kW at 1,050 rpm. each. She had seats for economy and 1st class passengers, bar for economy and 1st class passengers, 127 satellite TVs, headphones with music in the seats, elevator for passengers, escalator, reception, Jewellery safekeeping room, telephone and toilets. The MS Aqua Jewel is a Greek passenger car ferry, which is part of the fleet of SeaJets Ferries. She was built in 2003 in Perama, Attica and was put into service at SeaJets in 2017. The ship initially belonged to the shipowner Georgios Perogiannakis and in 2010 she was chartered by the Shipping Company of Lesvos - NEL Lines. Since 2017, she belongs to SeaJets, which occasionally charters her to Atlanticoline. At the time of her construction, the Aqua Jewel was the largest passenger ferry ever built in Greece, with a length of 108 meters. She no longer holds this record, since the construction of Hellenic Seaways' 141-meter -long Nissos Mykonos. The Aqua Jewel was intended as a mega-yacht named Nissilios, while the initial cost was about 25,000,000 US dollars. The Aqua Jewel has a maximum speed of 18.5 knots and a cruising (service) speed of 0.5 knots lower than the maximum. Aqua Jewel facilities include two bars, a hospital and a helipad. On the 6th of February 2024 she was accidentally beached while exiting the port of Diakoftiou in Kythera.
