Hafiz Ibrahim Kawu is a Nigerian politician. He served as a member representing Tarauni Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Born in 1984, he hails from Kano State. He succeeded Nasiru Baballe Ila and was elected into the House of Assembly at the 2019 elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC). [1] In a bid for a second term, he promised to engage in capacity development, as well as empowerment of women and youth. [2] He also received twenty million naira as campaign donations from his constituents. [3]

In addition to this, he was a lawyer and had served as a chief registrar at the Chief Magistrate's Court in Kano. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly and, up to his time, one of Jigawa's few billionaires. Bello Maitama set up the stage for all politicians and businessmen in Nigeria.
The Tiga Dam is located in southern part of Kano State in the Northwest of Nigeria, constructed in 1971–1974. It is a major reservoir on the Kano River, the main tributary of the Hadejia River. The dam was built during the administration of Governor Audu Bako in an attempt to improve food security through irrigation projects.
