Haimbili Haufiku Senior Secondary School is a school at east of Eenhana town in the Ohangwena Region of Namibia. [1] It was established in 1988. R.M.O Shaninga is the current principal of the school. bHaimbili Haufiku was named after the eighth Oukwanyama, King Haimbili yaHaufiku, who ruled from 1811 until 1858. [2]

Haimbili Haufiku Senior Secondary School is one of the best schools countrywide. Its learners frequently get awards for high performance, [3] [4] and in 2009 learners won a national High School competition sponsored by the Bank of Namibia. [5] The school occupied rank 13 in the national A-level results in 2012, and rank 16 in 2013. [6] Haimbili Haufiku scooped 50 certificates during the 2022 Ohangwena region annual award ceremony held in July 2023. [7]

Doreen Nampiye Sioka is a Namibian politician. She is member of the National Assembly of Namibia since 1994 for the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO), and a member of the cabinet since 2005, serving as Minister of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare.

Abraham Iyambo was a Namibian politician. Iyambo was a member of the National Assembly of Namibia since 1995, serving as Minister of the Fisheries from 1997 to 2010 and as Minister of Education from 2010 until his death. Iyambo was a member of both the central committee and political bureau of the SWAPO Party and the chairperson of its think tank.

St Boniface College is a private secondary school in the Kavango East Region of Namibia, situated 30 kilometres east of the regional capital, Rundu. It is a Roman Catholic Church boarding school.

Rapama Kamehozu was a Namibian politician, teacher, and a member of the SWAPO political party. Kamehozu served as the governor of Otjozondjupa Region from 2011 to 2012 and as governor of Omaheke Region from December 2012 until his death on 23 March 2013.

Katrina Hanse-Himarwa is a Namibian politician. A member of the SWAPO party, she served as Minister of Education, Arts and Culture from 21 March 2015 to 9 July 2019, a day after being convicted of corruption.

Dr Abraham Iyambo Senior Secondary School is a school in the Ohangwena Region of northern Namibia, situated c. 35 kilometres (22 mi) east of Eenhana. The school's original name was Oshikunde Senior Secondary School after the Oshikunde Constituency in which it is situated. After a major renovation in September 2014, it was renamed after the former Minister of Higher Education Abraham Iyambo. Dr Abraham Iyambo SSS is a government boarding school catering for grades 11 and 12. In 2014 it had 404 learners.
