Hideki Matsui, nicknamed "Godzilla", is a Japanese former professional baseball outfielder and designated hitter who played baseball in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and Major League Baseball (MLB). He batted left-handed and threw right-handed.

Born in Ishikawa, he graduated from the Tomioka senior high school, and later educated at the Nippon Sport Science University. He was part of the national junior team that won the gold medal at the 2012 Asian Junior Championships, and the silver medal at the 2012 World Junior Championships.

It was played twice, in 2003 and 2005 and took place on the World Cup course at the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen, China. The event was organised by the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour. Asia won both events that were contested.
