Halo Records, also known as Halo UK Records, is an independent British record label, established in 2000. [1]

History

Halo Records was formed by persons formerly associated with Chrysalis Records and Virgin Records, among other industry associations. [1] The executive producer of the company is Michael Karl Maslen, a guitarist and songwriter with previous experience as a producer.[ citation needed ]

The company has primarily been engaged in the development of new artists and is generally focused on releasing singles and related videos. [2] The company has produced records by such artists as Jane Ledsom, [3] Craine, [4] Dream Capture, [5] Kelly Lee, [6] Kat Gang, [7] Navaro, [8] Kinch, [9] Luci Cahn, [10] Rietta Austin [11] Medicine Hat, [12] Tracey Brennecke [13] and Mike Harrison. The company is not associated with others using the same or a similar name, such as Halo Records (Canada), Halo Records (US) or Halo the Label (Australia). [16]

Chess Records was an American record company established in 1950 in Chicago, specializing in blues and rhythm and blues. It was the successor to Aristocrat Records, founded in 1947. It expanded into soul music, gospel music, early rock and roll, and jazz and comedy recordings, released on the Chess and its subsidiary labels Checker and Argo/Cadet. The Chess catalogue is owned by Universal Music Group and managed by Geffen Records and Universal Music Enterprises.

Apple Records is a British record label founded by the Beatles in 1968 as a division of Apple Corps Ltd. It was initially intended as a creative outlet for the Beatles, both as a group and individually, plus a selection of other artists including Mary Hopkin, James Taylor, Badfinger and Billy Preston. In practice, the roster had become dominated by the mid-1970s with releases of the former Beatles as solo artists. Allen Klein managed the label from 1969 to 1973, then it was managed by Neil Aspinall on behalf of the Beatles and their heirs. Aspinall retired in 2007 and was replaced by Jeff Jones. Jones stepped down on October 21st, 2024.

Grand Hustle Records, also known as Hustle Gang Music, is an American hip hop record label, founded in 2003, by American rapper and record executive T.I. and his manager Jason Geter. The label was distributed by Atlantic Records until December 2012, and has since operated as an independent record label. Its roster has included acts such as 8Ball & MJG, B.o.B, Killer Mike, Young Dro, DJ Drama, Iggy Azalea, Meek Mill, Chip, Travis Scott,The OMG Girlz and Trae tha Truth, the latter of whom also served as the label's vice president.
