Halogen Foundation (Singapore) is an Institute of Public Character [1] and not-for-profit organization in Singapore whose mission is to inspire and influence a generation of young people to lead themselves and others well.
Halogen Foundation was started in 1997 in Australia originally called the Young Leaders Foundation. Its hallmark program is the National Young Leaders Days, an annual event initiated in 1997 to develop student leadership in schools. The Foundation exists in five major cities in Australia - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. It can also be found in New Zealand, incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957] [2] and covering Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. It also has operations in Singapore where it is considered an Institute of Public Character.
National Young Leaders Day consists of a range of presenters, who aim to motivate young leaders in taking action in their schools and passing on the lessons they have learned on the day.
Halogen Foundation is endorsed by national leaders of the respective countries. Mr John Howard (Prime Minister of Australia), [3] Mrs Helen Clark (Prime Minister of New Zealand), [4] and Mr Teo Chee Hean (Minister of Defense of Singapore). [5]

Gregory Lawrence Urwin PSM CSI was an Australian career diplomat and top Pacific specialist. Urwin held the post of Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, an important inter-governmental regional organisation from 2004 until 2 May 2008. Urwin had been the longest serving Australian diplomat in the Pacific at the time of his death in 2008. Urwin was also the first non-Pacific Islander to become Secretary General of the Pacific Island Forum.
The Fijian constitutional crisis of 2009 began on Friday, 10 April 2009. Fijian President Ratu Josefa Iloilo announced on a nationwide radio broadcast that he was abrogating the Constitution of Fiji. He dismissed all judges and constitutional appointees and assumed all governance in the country after the Court of Appeal ruled that the government of Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama was illegal. Iloilo reinstalled Bainimarama as PM and his Cabinet members to their positions. He also instituted emergency rule which increased police powers and allowed media censorship.
The Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPSEP) is a trade agreement between four Pacific Rim countries concerning a variety of matters of economic policy. The agreement was signed by Brunei, Chile, Singapore and New Zealand in 2005 and entered into force in 2006. It is a comprehensive trade agreement, affecting trade in goods, rules of origin, trade remedies, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical barriers to trade, trade in services, intellectual property, government procurement and competition policy. Among other things, it called for reduction by 90 percent of all tariffs between member countries by 1 January 2006, and reduction of all trade tariffs to zero by the year 2015.

He was a Partner at Ernst and Young, Canberra in its Government and Public Sector team from 2014-19.
Lee Kuan Yew, the founding Prime Minister of Singapore and former leader of the People's Action Party, died at the age of 91 on 23 March 2015, after being hospitalised with severe pneumonia on 5 February that year. Many world leaders issued public condolences.
