Hamari Betiyan also called Our Darling Daughters is a 1936 social Hindi film directed by R. S. Chowdhary. It was produced by Ardeshir Irani under his Imperial Film Company banner. [1] The film starred Rose, Kumar, Pramila, Mubarak, Jilloobai, Baba Vyas and Baby Shri. [2] Rose co-starred with her cousin Pramila who had started acting in films from 1935 with Ardeshir Irani's Imperial Film Company's Return Of Toofan Mail (1935). The story of Hamari Betiyan is about the travails of Radha and her subsequent revenge against the people who caused her grief and anguish.
Radha (Rose) and Prince Madan (Kumar) are college mates who fall in love. Despite strong objection from his father the king (Baba Vyas), Madan marries Radha. Through the evil intrigues of Vasant (Pramila) and Lal Singh (Mubarak), Madan is cast out of the kingdom. Radha becomes blind and her husband abandons her. Radha meets up with her mother who had been separated from her and has now become a priestess. Radha's sight is restored and she gets hold of a buried treasure. With that she pretends to be a princess and takes revenge against all who wronged her.
Madan Puri was an Indian actor of Hindi and Punjabi films. His brothers were actors Chaman Puri and Amrish Puri. As a character actor mainly in negative roles (villain), he acted in about 430 films in a career spanning above fifty years.
Himalay Ki God Mein is a 1965 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Vijay Bhatt, starring Manoj Kumar and Mala Sinha, with Shashikala in a supporting role. The film won the Filmfare Best Movie Award and was a "superhit" at the box office, listed in the top 20 earners of the 1960s. The film was remade in Telugu as Doctor Babu and in Tamil as Puthiya Bhoomi.
Kanwarjit Paintal, better known as Paintal, is an Indian actor and comedian. He started off as a comic actor and moved on to teaching the art of acting. He has extensively worked not only in numerous movies but also television. He was born into a Sikh family in a village named Tarn Taran which is near Amritsar, Punjab. He lived his early life with his family members in Sadar Bazaar, Delhi. Paintal learnt acting at the Film and Television Institute of India and in 2008 was the Head of the Acting Department of FTII. He came to Bombay in 1969. His brother Gufi Paintal played the role Shakuni in B.R. Chopra hit show 'Mahabharat ', in which he himself played the roles of Shikhandi and Sudama. His son, Hiten Paintal, is also an actor, who worked in movies such as Dil Maange More (2004) and Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008).
Mubarak Begum was an Indian vocalist who sang in the Hindi and Urdu languages. She was a playback singer in Bollywood films during the 1950s and 1960s. She had also recorded and given public performances in a number of other genres, including Ghazal and Na`at.

Sarita Joshi is currently seen on Anupama: Namaste America a prequel web series to Star Plus show Anupamaa.

Draupadi is a 1931 sound film from Indian cinema. The film was a big-budget mythological production from Ardeshir Irani's Imperial Film Company following their release of the first talkie in India, Alam Ara (1931). It was directed by Bhagwati Prasad Mishra, who had made a name for himself as a photographer and painter and had worked with Irani in his Star, Majestic, Royal and Imperial Studios. The story adaptation from Vyasa's Mahabharata and the screenplay, were by Mishra. The star cast included Prithviraj Kapoor who played the role of Arjuna, with Sudhabala as Draupadi, and Khalil as Krishna. The rest of cast included Hadi, Elizer, Rustom Irani and Jilloobai. The cinematographer was Adi Irani.
Bhai-Bhai (transl. Brothers) is a 1956 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by M. V. Raman for A. V. M. Productions. It had screenplay by Javar Seetharaman, with Hindi screen adaptation of the Tamil film Ratha Paasam directed by C.V. Sridhar. The music director was Madan Mohan, with dialogues and lyrics written by Rajendra Krishan. One of the popular songs from the film was "Ae Dil Mujhe Bata De", sung by Geeta Dutt, "in an unabrasive fast tempo". The song became one of Madan Mohan's earliest hits, and the music of the film in journalist-author Bharatan's words, went on to "conquer the box office".
Sagar Movietone also Sagar Films, Sagar Film Company and Sagar Productions was an Indian film production company involved in the making of films for Indian cinema. It was launched by Ardeshir Irani with Chimanlal Desai and Dr. Ambalal Patel in 1929 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. Sagar was initially started as a branch company of Ardeshir's Imperial Film Company. Several key figures from Imperial, such as Mehboob Khan were shifted to Sagar. The studio was in operation from 1930 to 1939. In 1940, it combined with General Pictures to form National Studios. It made "Parsi theatre based films, mythologicals and stunt movies". Sagar fostered the career of many artists who rose to prominence. Early directors such as Prafulla Ghosh, Sarvottam Badami, Ezra Mir and Nanubhai Vakil were promoted by the company. Mehboob Khan got his first break as a director in Al Hilal in 1935. He was referred to as "the most important alumnus" from Sagar, who went on to become one of Indian cinema's "most influential film-makers".
Rose Musleah was an Indian theater and film actress of Jewish origin who played in Tollywood. She acted in silent films at first and later in talkies. Remembered as the "dancer actress" of silent cinema. Her films dealt with conflicts between tradition and individual choice.
