Hamid Ur Rehman is a Pakistani politician from Bajaur District. He is currently serving as member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since February 2024.
He contested the 2024 general elections as a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf/Independent candidate from PK-19 Bajaur-I. He secured 23044 votes. [1] [2]
Fazal-ur-Rehman is a Pakistani politician who is the president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F). He is also the president of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM),a coalition of political parties which ousted then prime minister Imran Khan through a no-confidence motion in 2022. He has been a member of the National Assembly since February 2024 and previously served in that position between 1988 and 2018. He was also the Leader of the Opposition from 2004 to 2007. He is a supporter of the Taliban government in Afghanistan and has demanded for its international recognition. In the 1980s,he was part of the Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD),which was formed to end the military regime of General Zia-ul-Haq.
Bajaur District,formerly Bajaur Agency,is a district in the Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province,Pakistan. Prior to 2018,Bajaur Agency was the northernmost component of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA),a semi-autonomous region along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border. In May 2018,FATA was merged into the larger Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province (KPK) in an attempt to bring stability to the region,redesignating Bajaur Agency to Bajaur District.
Arif-ur-Rehman Alvi is a Pakistani politician who served as the 13th President of Pakistan,in office from 9 September 2018 to 10 March 2024. He was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from June 2013 to May 2018 and again from August to September 2018. Alvi was a dentist before entering politics in 1979,when he joined Jamaat-e-Islami (Pakistan),but resigned later on from the party and then joined former cricketer Imran Khan's party in 1996 and is amongst the founding members of PTI.
