Open Up and Say... Ahh! is the second studio album by American glam metal band Poison, released in 1988 through Enigma Records. It proved to be the band's most successful release, and spawned four hit singles: "Nothin' But a Good Time", "Fallen Angel", "Your Mama Don't Dance" and their only #1 single to date, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn". The album peaked at #2 on the US Billboard 200.
Virgin Black is an Australian symphonic gothic and doom metal band. The band was signed to The End Records and Germany's Massacre Records, through which it released four albums and one EP. A fifth album, originally planned for release in 2006, was released independently in 2018. As of 2021, they are signed to Australian record label, Dark Escapes Music. Formed in 1995 in Adelaide, they have achieved international acclaim during their career, receiving praise from such magazines as Orkus, Metal Hammer, Legacy and The Village Voice.
Into Glory Ride is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Manowar and the first to feature drummer Scott Columbus. The album's title is a reference to the title track from the band's previous album Battle Hymns. After 'Into Glory Ride' released, Manowar became one of the most influential bands to the development of this "epic" style of heavy metal and had a critical influence on the genre.

It is the band's most traditional black metal album, taking on a formula lyrically compared to their Scandinavian peers. The album takes its title from a line in the title track from Venom's 1981 album Welcome to Hell. On Scorn Defeat, the line itself is said on "At My Funeral".

Hail to the King is the only Avenged Sevenfold album to feature drummer Arin Ilejay, prior to his departure in July 2015. Blood from the Soul is an industrial metal supergroup formed by Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury. The band's debut album, To Spite the Gland That Breeds (1993), featured Embury with Sick of It All vocalist Lou Koller. In 2020, Embury reformed the band with a new line-up, featuring vocalist Jacob Bannon, drummer Dirk Verbeuren and bassist Jesper Liveröd. The band's sophomore record, DSM-5, was released in the same year.
