Hannah Broederlow (born 8 March 1988 in Palmerston North, New Zealand) [1] [2] is a New Zealand netball player. Broederlow attended Palmerston North Girls' High School before continuing her studies at the University of Otago. [3] During her high school years she played in the New Zealand Secondary Schools team (2004–05). [1] She has played with the New Zealand U21 netball team since 2006, and was elevated to the New Zealand A squad in 2008. [4] Broederlow was signed in 2007 to play with the Otago Rebels in the National Bank Cup. She was overlooked the next year for a spot in the inaugural ANZ Championship, but later received a callup from Yvette McCausland-Durie to play with the Central Pulse in 2009. [3] Broederlow was also named in the New Zealand U21 team to compete at the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships in the Cook Islands. [5]

Central Pulse New Zealand netball team

Central Pulse are a New Zealand netball team based in Wellington. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. Since 2017 they have represented Netball Central in the ANZ Premiership. Netball Central is the governing body that represents the Hawke's Bay, Manawatū-Whanganui, Taranaki and Wellington Regions. Pulse were 2019, 2020 and 2022 ANZ Premiership winners. They also won the 2018 Netball New Zealand Super Club tournament.

Southern Steel New Zealand netball team

Southern Steel are a New Zealand netball team based in Invercargill. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. Since 2017 they have represented Netball South in the ANZ Premiership. Netball South is the governing body that represents Southland and Otago. In 2017 they won their first premiership when they were the inaugural ANZ Premiership winners. In 2018 they won their second premiership when they retained the title. In 2017 Steel were the inaugural winners of the Netball New Zealand Super Club tournament.

Joline Henry New Zealand netball player

Joline Henry is a New Zealand netball player. Henry is a current member of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, and has played for the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic (2008-2009) and the Northern Mystics (2010-2011) in the ANZ Championship. In 2012, Henry is with the Central Pulse for the 2012 ANZ Championship.

Jodi Brown New Zealand netball player

Jodi Anne Brown is a retired New Zealand netball player. Brown was a member of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns from 2002 to 2015, taking time off in between those periods due to injury and pregnancy, earning 61 caps. She has also played elite domestic netball in New Zealand for 13 years, and has signed with the Southern Steel for 2014. She played for the Central Pulse in 2015 and was getting set to play her final season in 2016 before she injured her ACL in the preseason and decided to retire from domestic netball after she had retired from international netball in 2015. In 2015, Jodi began co-coaching at St Hilda's Collegiate, Dunedin with the year nine A team. She has since followed this team through the years, which included a devastating 1 point loss in the SISS final. In 2018, Brown coached the St Hilda's Senior A team and also coached the Dunedin U17 team to 11th place at Nationals.

Katrina Rore is a New Zealand international netball player. Rore is the current vice-captain of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, and plays for the Central Pulse in the ANZ Championship. Rore signed to the New South Wales swifts in the suncorp super netball league in the latter half of the 2018–2019 season following the netball World Cup.

Cathrine Tuivaiti is a New Zealand netball player of Tongan, Samoan, and Māori descent.

Lauren Burgess is a New Zealand rugby union player. She plays in the Centre position for the Manawatu Cyclones, and for New Zealand's national women's sevens team.

Ellen Halpenny is a New Zealand netball player in the ANZ Championship, playing for the Canterbury Tactix. During the first two seasons of the ANZ Championship, she spent much of her time on the reserves bench. But the departure of Jodi Brown to the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic after 2009 saw Halpenny given more on-court time in the shooting circle.

Wendy Frew is a New Zealand netball player. Frew was a previous member of the champion Southern Sting in the National Bank Cup from 2002 until 2007. With the start of the ANZ Championship in 2008, she remained in Southland playing for the new Southern Steel franchise. 2018 will be Frew's fifth season as captain and her 16th representing the southern franchise, including its predecessor the Sting.

Althea Latoya Byfield is a Jamaican international basketball and netball player. Byfield has represented Jamaica in both sports, and is a current member of the Jamaican netball team.

Elias Scheres is a New Zealand netball player in the ANZ Championship, playing for the Central Pulse. Scheres captained the New Zealand Secondary Schools team that won the International School Girls Championship in June 2008. She was also a member of the New Zealand U21 team in 2007 and 2008, and made the preliminary U21 squad in 2009.

Te Amo Amaru-Tibble is a New Zealand netball and basketball player. She attended high school at Newlands College before transferring to Tū Toa. During her early high school years she focused on basketball, playing with the New Zealand U16, U18, U19 and junior Tall Ferns teams. Amaru-Tibble eventually played netball at Tū Toa, coached by Yvette McCausland-Durie. In 2008, she qualified for the New Zealand U21 team to travel to Australia. She also made the preliminary squad for the following year, but she did not make the final team to compete at the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships in the Cook Islands.

Larissa Harrison is a New Zealand netball player. Harrison has played with the New Zealand U21 netball team since 2008, and will compete at the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships in the Cook Islands. She also signed with the Central Pulse in the 2009 ANZ Championship season, playing as a goal shooter.

Camilla Lees is a New Zealand netball player.

Yvette McCausland-Durie is a New Zealand netball coach and former netball player. As a player, she played for Western Flyers during the National Bank Cup era and represented New Zealand at under-21 level. She was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 1992 World Youth Netball Championships. As a head coach, McCausland-Durie guided Central Pulse to the 2019 and 2020 ANZ Premierships and the 2018 Super Club title. She has also worked with the senior New Zealand team as an assistant coach and with the under-21 team as a head coach. She was head coach when New Zealand won gold at the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships. McCausland-Durie is also a schoolteacher and educator. Together with her husband, she is a co-founder of the Manukura School based in Palmerston North. She is also a member of its board of trustees.

Chelsea Pitman is an Australian-born netball player representing the England National Netball Team internationally. She is currently contracted as a training partner for the West Coast Fever playing in the Suncorp Super Netball competition in Australia. West Coast Fever has just became premiers after winning the Suncorp Super Netball League 2022. She is predominantly a wing attack, but can also play goal attack.

Participating in sports is a popular pastime in the Manawatu region of New Zealand, with many local clubs and venues catering for sports such as those listed below and other sports including athletics, archery, badminton, croquet, lawn bowls, squash, tennis and other minority sports. Secondary school and age-group sport is popular and actively encouraged.

Claire Kersten is a New Zealand netball player who plays in the ANZ Premiership, playing for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. Claire can play WD and C. In 2013, she made her ANZ Championship debut for the Central Pulse.

Gina Crampton is a New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won the 2019 Netball World Cup and the 2021 Constellation Cup. Crampton was also a member of the Southern Steel teams that won the 2017 and 2018 ANZ Premierships. She was named the 2016 New Zealand ANZ Championship Player of the Year and the 2019 ANZ Premiership Player of the Year. Crampton has captained both Southern Steel and New Zealand. Since 2021 she has played for Northern Stars.
