Harald Serafin (born December 24, 1931, Kybartai, Lithuania ) is an Austrian opera singer (baritone), recipient of multiple awards and decorations, and other tokens of recognition. [1] [2] [3]

From 1992 to 2012 he was artistic director of the Seefestspiele Mörbisch festival. [4]

Spain was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 with the song "Colgado de un sueño" written by José María Purón and performed by Serafín Zubiri. The Spanish participating broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) organised the national final Eurocanción 2000 in order to select its entry for the 2000 contest in Stockholm, Sweden. Fifteen artists and songs competed in the televised show where 17 regional juries and a public televote selected "Colgado de un sueño" performed by Serafín Zubiri as the winner. Zubiri had already represented Spain at the 1992 contest.

The Seefestspiele Mörbisch, originally: Seespiele Mörbisch, is an annual operetta festival in Mörbisch am See (Austria). With around 150,000 visitors, the Mörbisch Lake Festival is the world's largest festival of the operetta genre. In addition to operettas, classical musicals are also performed on an irregular basis. Above all, the natural scenery of Neusiedler See is always incorporated into the stage set. The area is very flat, so transmission technology specially developed for the Lake Festival is used.
