Hardwood Records is a Canadian independent record label, owned and operated by singer-songwriter Hayden. [1] Originally formed to distribute his own albums, the label has also released albums by Cuff the Duke, Basia Bulat and Lou Canon.

Caroline Records is a record label originally founded in 1973. Initially founded in the United Kingdom to showcase British progressive rock groups, the label ceased releasing titles in 1976, and then re-emerged in the United States in 1986. Play Me or Trade Me is the third and final studio album by the P-Funk spin off act Parlet. The album was released by Casablanca Records in May of 1980 and was produced by George Clinton and Ron Dunbar. Like many albums released by the label during this year, it would be totally ignored in terms of promotion due to the label being bought by Polygram Records. The vocal line up for this album remained the same as the previous album. Play Me or Trade Me failed to enter on the Billboard R&B album charts.

It was later re-released in May 1996 internationally on Outpost Recordings/Geffen Records. A 12" vinyl version was also released in 1996 on Hardwood/Genius Records.
