Harry Sawyer (11 August 1895 - 21 September 1963) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). [1]

The 1904 VFL season was the eighth season of the Victorian Football League (VFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Victoria. The season featured eight clubs, ran from 7 May until 17 September, and comprised a 17-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top four clubs.

The 1937 VFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football game contested between the Geelong Football Club and Collingwood Football Club, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on 25 September 1937. It was the 39th annual grand final of the Victorian Football League, staged to determine the premiers for the 1937 VFL season. The Australian Football League stages the highest-level senior Australian rules football competition in the country. However, since the late 1980s, when the former Victorian Football League expanded interstate to become the modern Australian Football League, there has not been a league-wide reserves competition; and, since 2000, there has been no dedicated reserves competition of any kind. Christopher Henry "Harry" Parkin was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club and Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Parkin made his debut, playing for Geelong, against Melbourne in round 11 of the 1899 VFL season at Corio Oval. His brother Jack also played with Geelong in 1899. The next year he transferred to Melbourne and in his first season with the club became a premiership player, playing on a half-back flank in the 1900 VFL Grand Final. After his retirement from football he served as Melbourne's delegate to the VFL for over 10 years as well as being Treasurer of the VFL from 1932 until his death in 1937.
