Harry John Daniel Whitwell (born 16 November 2005) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Forest Green Rovers on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
Born in Oxford, Whitwell signed his first professional contract with West Bromwich Albion on 17 November 2022. [3] [4] He made his professional debut for the club on 7 January 2024 in the FA Cup, in a 4–1 win against Aldershot Town. [5] On 13 August 2024, he made his first start for the club in a 2–1 defeat to Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup. [6]
On 21 August 2024, Whitwell signed a new contract extension running until 2026. [7] He made his first league appearance on 3 May 2025, in a 5–3 win against Luton Town in the Championship. [8] On 8 August 2025, he signed another contract extension with the club. [9]
On 15 August 2025, Whitwell joined National League side Forest Green Rovers on a season-long loan. [10] [11] On 20 August 2025, he scored on his debut for the club in a 4–0 win against Sutton United. [12] On 7 January 2026, he was recalled by his parent club. [13]
Whitwell has represented the England under-18 football team. [14]
