Hart Sheik (Somali : Harta Sheekh) is a town located in eastern Ethiopia, in the Somali Region. Hart Sheik is primarily inhabited by the Sacad Muuse sub-clan of the Habar Awal Isaaq Somali people. [1] [2]
According to the 2022 census conducted by the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia (CSA) Hart Sheik had a population of 500,000. [3]
The Somali Region, also known as Soomaali Galbeed and officially the Somali Regional State, is a regional state in eastern Ethiopia. Its territory is the largest after Oromia Region. Cities and towns in the Awbare district include Awbare, Awbube, Sheder, Lefe Isa, Derwernache, Gogti, Jaare and Heregel.
Kebri Beyah is a city and woreda in Somali Region, Ethiopia. Part of the Kebri Beyah is bordered on the south by the Degehabur Zone, on the southwest by the Fiq Zone, on the northwest by Gursum, on the north by Jijiga and Awbare, on the northeast by Somaliland, and on the east by Harshin. The City administrative center is Kebri Beyah City.
Boh, popularly known as 'Iid, is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Werder Zone, Boh is located in the easternmost part of the country, at the point of the angle jutting into Somalia; on its other sides, this woreda is bordered on the southwest by Geladin, and on the northwest by Danot. Geladin is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Werder Zone Geladin is bordered on the south by the Korahe Zone, on the west by Werder, on the northwest by Danot, on the northeast by Boh,(Galhamur) Woreda and on the southeast by the Provisional Administrative Line with Somalia. The major town in Geladin is Geladin.
Dolobay is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Afder Zone, Dolobay is bordered on the south by the Provisional Administrative Line with Somalia, on the west by the Ganale Dorya River which separates it from the Liben Zone, on the northwest by Cherti, on the north by Afder, and on the east by Bare. The major town in Dolobay is Weldiya.
Dolo Addo or Dolo Ado or Dollo Ado is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Liben Zone, Dolo Ado is located in the angle formed by the confluence of the Ganale Dorya with the Dawa River, and bordered to the northwest by Filtu, on the northeast by Afder Zone, on the southeast by Somalia, and on the south by Kenya. Towns in Dollo Ado include Koole, *Helaweyn, and #Buur, Dolo and Suftu. It is home to Garimarro and Degodia who are living in dollo ado.
Guradamole is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of Guradamole is bounded on the south by the Ganale Dorya River which separates it from the Liben Zone, on the west by Kersa Dula, on the north by the Oromia Region, and on the east by Goro Bekeksa. Bokolmayo is one of the 96 districts in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. The district is located in Liben Zone and found in the middle of Filtu, and Dollo Ado, the biggest town of the Liben Zone. Bokolmayo is the district that host the most refugees in Ethiopia—nearly 200,000. These refugees are Somalis that fled from the civil war in Somalia around early 2009. Aware is a town and the capital city of the Aware woreda, in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. It is frequently considered part of the Haud.
Aw-barre Refugee camp is located in the Fafan Zone of the Somali Region of Ethiopia. It was established in 2007 by the Ethiopian Administration for Refugee and Returnee Affairs and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to accommodate Somali refugees seeking international protection and asylum in Ethiopia.
