The Somali Region, also known as Soomaali Galbeed and officially the Somali Regional State, is a regional state in eastern Ethiopia. Its territory is the largest after Oromia Region. The regional state borders the Ethiopian regions of Afar and Oromia and the chartered city Dire Dawa to the west, as well as Djibouti to the north, Somalia to the northeast, east and south; and Kenya to the southwest.
Fafan is a zone in Somali Region of Ethiopia. It was previously known as the Jijiga zone, so named after its largest city, Jijiga. Other towns and cities in this zone include Awbare, Derwernache, Lefe Isa, Babile, Kebri Beyah, Harshin, Goljano, Tuli Gulled and Hart Sheik. Fafan is bordered on the south by Jarar, on the southwest by Nogob, on the west by the Oromia Region, on the north by Sitti, and on the east by Somaliland.
Dollo is one of the nine zones in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. It was previously known as Warder/Werder, so named after its largest city, Warder. Dollo is bordered on the southwest by Korahe, on the northwest by Jarar, and on the southeast by Somalia. The Provisional Administrative Line defines the southeast border with Somalia.
Liben is a zone in Somali Region of Ethiopia. Liben is bordered on the south by Kenya, on the northwest by the Oromia Region, on the northeast by Afder, and on the southeast by Somalia's federal state of Jubaland. Towns in Liben zone include Filtu, Gof Bokolmayo, Deka Suftu, and Dolo. Borena National Park covers the southwestern portion of the zone.
Kelafo is a woreda in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Gode Zone, Kelafo is bordered on the south by the Somalia, on the west by Adadle, on the northwest by Gode, on the northeast by the Korahe Zone, and on the east by Mustahil. The Shebelle River flows through this woreda. The major town in the Kelafo district is Kelafo.
Shinile is a woreda in Somali Region, Ethiopia. Part of the Sitti Zone, Shinile is bordered on the south by Dire Dawa, on the west by Erer, on the north by the Afar Region, on the east by Ayesha, and on the southeast by Dembel and Jijiga Zone. Awbare, officially known as Teferi Ber, is one of the woredas of the Fafan Zone in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Awbare is bordered on the southwest by Jijiga, on the west by the Sitti Zone, on the east by Somaliland, and on the southeast by Kebri Beyah. Cities and towns in the Awbare district include Awbare, Awbube, Sheder, Lefe Isa, Derwernache, Gogti, Jaare and Heregel.
Kebri Beyah is a city and woreda in Somali Region, Ethiopia. Part of the Kebri Beyah is bordered on the south by the Degehabur Zone, on the southwest by the Fiq Zone, on the northwest by Gursum, on the north by Jijiga and Awbare, on the northeast by Somaliland, and on the east by Harshin. The City administrative center is Kebri Beyah City.
Boh, popularly known as 'Iid, is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Werder Zone, Boh is located in the easternmost part of the country, at the point of the angle jutting into Somalia; on its other sides, this woreda is bordered on the southwest by Geladin, and on the northwest by Danot. The easternmost point of this woreda is the easternmost point of Ethiopia. Geladin is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Werder Zone Geladin is bordered on the south by the Korahe Zone, on the west by Werder, on the northwest by Danot, on the northeast by Boh,(Galhamur) Woreda and on the southeast by the Provisional Administrative Line with Somalia. The major town in Geladin is Geladin.
Dolobay is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Afder Zone, Dolobay is bordered on the south by the Provisional Administrative Line with Somalia, on the west by the Ganale Dorya River which separates it from the Liben Zone, on the northwest by Cherti, on the north by Afder, and on the east by Bare. The major town in Dolobay is Weldiya.
Dolo Addo or Dolo Ado or Dollo Ado is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Liben Zone, Dolo Ado is located in the angle formed by the confluence of the Ganale Dorya with the Dawa River, and bordered to the northwest by Filtu, on the northeast by Afder Zone, on the southeast by Somalia, and on the south by Kenya. Towns in Dollo Ado include Koole, *Helaweyn, and #Buur, Dolo and Suftu. It is home to Garimarro and Degodia who are living in dollo ado.
Guradamole is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of Guradamole is bounded on the south by the Ganale Dorya River which separates it from the Liben Zone, on the west by Kersa Dula, on the north by the Oromia Region, and on the east by Goro Bekeksa. Towns in this woreda include Haro Dibe and Qundi.
Doba is a woreda in Oromia Region, Ethiopia. It is named after its major town Doba. Part of the West Haraghe, Doba is bordered on the south by Chiro, on the west by Mieso, on the north by the Somali Region, on the east by the East Hararghe, and on the southeast by Tulo.
Tog Wajaale is a city on the border of Somaliland and Ethiopia. Tog Wajaale is the main border crossing for goods coming in and out of Somaliland, primarily from the port city of Berbera, Somaliland's main port.
Daroor is a town in the Misraq Gashamo woreda, in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. It is frequently considered part of the Haud. It is approximately 30 km south of the border with Somaliland.
Rabaso, is a town in the Misraq_Gashamo of Ethiopia. Part of the Jarar zone, Rabaso is bordered on the south by Aware, on the west by Gashamo, on the north by the Burco-Duuray, on the northeast by Somaliland, and on the east by Shabelle. Nearby town include Celiyo, and Duduma Cad.
Bokolmayo is one of the 96 districts in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. The district is located in Liben Zone and found in the middle of Filtu, and Dollo Ado, the biggest town of the Liben Zone. Bokolmayo is the district that host the most refugees in Ethiopia—nearly 200,000. These refugees are Somalis that fled from the civil war in Somalia around early 2009. There are five refugee camps in the Liben zone, three of which are found in Bokolmayo. These refugee camps include:

Aware is a town and the capital city of the Aware woreda, in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. It is frequently considered part of the Haud.
Aw-barre Refugee camp is located in the Fafan Zone of the Somali Region of Ethiopia. It was established in 2007 by the Ethiopian Administration for Refugee and Returnee Affairs and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to accommodate Somali refugees seeking international protection and asylum in Ethiopia.
