Hartlepool Life is the free weekly newspaper for Hartlepool in County Durham, England. Hartlepool Life distributes the newspaper each Wednesday, and the majority of its news articles are "positive" stories about the town of Hartlepool and its surrounding villages of Hart, Elwick, Dalton Piercy and Greatham. It launched on March 22, 2017. [1]

Hartlepool is a town in County Durham, England. The town lies on the North Sea coast, 7 12 miles (12 km) north of Middlesbrough and 17 miles (27 km) south of Sunderland. The town is governed as part of the Borough of Hartlepool, a unitary authority which also controls outlying villages such as Seaton Carew, Greatham and Elwick.

Hartlepool Borough Council governs Elwick. As Elwick is only a small parish it is not able to run itself as its own district. Elwick was known as a township until 1866, but then was changed to a civil parish status. The Elwick Parish council meets to discuss problems to put forward to Hartlepool Borough Council about its electoral ward.

Distribution

The free newspaper is distributed through pick up points at over 180 outlets across the town every Wednesday. Outlets include local supermarkets and many small businesses, and Hartlepool Borough Council buildings.

The weekly publication is posted online each following Monday, while their "Announcements" page is posted on the day of release. The newspaper has a Facebook page and a website.
