Hashibur Reza Kallol is a Bangladeshi film director best known for his 2017 film Swatta , for which he received the Bachsas Award in the category of Best Director.

Career

Kallol started his work life as a photographer at Prothom Alo newspaper.[ citation needed ]

Kallol wrote and directed the 2011 docu-fiction style film Andho Nirangam, about modern day Bauls and Lalon Shah's philosophy. [1] His second film, the romance Swatta , featuring Shakib Khan and Paoli Dam, took two and a half years to shoot. It was released in 2017. [2] For the film, he received the Bachsas Award in the category of Best Director. [3]

As of 2022, Kallol is also multimedia editor of The Daily Star. [4]

Shakib Khan, also known by the initialism SK, is a Bangladeshi film actor, producer, occasional singer, film organiser and media personality who works in Bengali films, both in Bangladesh and West Bengal. In his career spanning about two decades, Khan has been the propeller of the contemporary film industry Dhallywood. He is popularly known in the media as "King Khan", "King of Dhallywood" and "Number One Shakib Khan", also referred as "Bhaijaan of Dhallywood". Currently he is the highest paid actor in Bangladesh.

Masum Reza

Masum Reza is a Bangladeshi playwright, television drama and stage play director. He is best known for writing the screenplay of the television drama serial Ronger Manush (2004). Ali Akram Shuvo is a Bangladeshi music director who has composed music for films like Ohongkar, O Sathii Re, Chandragrohon, Khodar Pore Ma etc. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director for the latter in 2012 and earned Bachsas Award for Best Music Director two times: in 2008 and 2012.

Rajlakshmi Srikanta is a 1987 Bangladeshi film starring Bulbul Ahmed and Shabana opposite him. The film won the Bangladesh National Film Awards in four categories and Bachsas Awards in 11 categories. It also stars Nuton and Prabir Mitra. It is produced, written and directed by Ahmed himself.

Swatta is a 2017 Bangladeshi romantic tragedy film. The film directed by Hashibur Reza Kallol and produced by Sohani Hossain under the banner of Taranga Entertainment. It is a story written by Sohani Hossain and a screenplay and dialogue written by Ferdous Hassan. The film features Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan and Paoli Dam in the lead roles and Kabila, Nasrin, Rina Khan, Don and many have played supporting roles in the film.

"Tor Premete" also known songs first stanza as "Tor Premete Ondho Holam" is a National Award-winning song from the 2017 Bangladeshi romantic-drama film Swatta sung by James. The song composed by Bappa Mazumder and choreographed by Masum Babul. The lyrics of the song written by Sohani Hossain, the producer and story writer of the film, and Shakib Khan and Paoli Dam performed in the song. The song was released on Deco's YouTube channel under the banner of Qinetic Network on March 30, 2017.
