Sultan Hassan V Sri raadha Aanandha Maha Radhun was the sultan of the sultanate of Maldives. He ascended to the lion throne of Maldives after the death of his father, Omar II of the Maldives in 1484. His rule was short and ended upon his death in 1485. After his reign, the Portuguese began making inroads into the Indian Ocean and threatened the Maldives.

Sultan Sir Hassan Nooraddeen Iskandar II, KCMG was Sultan of the Maldives from 1935 to 1943, a son of Sultan Muhammad Mueenudheen Kuda Bandaarain. Sultan Nooraddeen was born on 21 April 1887.

Sultan Muhammad Imaaduddeen V (1884–1920), son of Ibrahim Nooraddeen and Bodugaluge Didi of Machchangoalhi Ganduvaru, and also younger half-brother of Muhammad Shamsuddeen III, was the sultan of the Maldives from 1892 to 1893 for five months. He was 8 years old when he became the sultan, after the death of his father Sultan Ibrahim Nooraddeen. Despite having an older half-brother, Imaaduddeen V, was appointed as sultan by a decree of the Council of Ministers headed by Ibrahim Didi, brother-in-law to the late sultan Nooraddeen. Meanwhile, a vigorous protest was handed down to the Ceylon Governor in Colombo by Muhammed Didi, the brother of Kakaage Don Goma, one of the late Sultan Nooraddeen's wives highlighting that the Law of Succession in the Maldive Islands which supported lineal primogeniture has been breached and that his great-nephew Muhammed Shamsuddeen who was 14 and thus the eldest son of the late Sultan should be the legitimate heir to the throne. Five months later Imaaduddeen was deposed by Muhammad Shamsuddeen III as the Sultan of the Maldives. He died during his brother's reign.

The Utheemu dynasty was created in 1573 when Muhammad Thakurufaanu Al Auzam became sultan of the Maldives. The dynasty was named after the northern Maldives island of Utheemu, birthplace of Muhammad Thakurufaan. Muhammad Thakurufaan is considered a national hero, as he and his two brothers led a successful rebellion against the Portuguese and established his country's independence. Thirteen more sultans ruled during this dynastic period, which ended in 1697.

Sultan Mohammed Imaduddin I (1580–1648) was the Sultan of Maldives from 11 December 1628 to 1648. He was the son of Umar Maafai Kilage and Mariyam Kabaidhi Kilage. After ruling for 20 years, the sultan died at the age of 68 and was buried in the Koilu Mosque.

Al-Sultan Salis Kalaminjaa Siri Meesuvara Mahaa Radun, also known as as-Sulṭān Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Ṣāliḥ al-Bangālī was the Sultan of Maldives from 1293 to 1302. He succeeded to the throne after the death of his father Sultan Yoosuf I, by becoming the 15th sultan to ascend the throne of Maldives from the Lunar dynasty. However, according to Moroccan traveller Ibn Battuta, he was not the son of Yoosuf, but rather was a Bengali who had founded a new dynasty.

Al-Sultan Abul Fath Jalaaluddin Omar Veeru Siri Abaarana Mahaa Radun was the Sultan of the Maldives from 1306 to 1341. He was the son of Sultan Salis. According to Moroccan traveller Ibn Battuta, his father was a Bengali and the founder of a new dynasty. Sultan Omar I ruled the country for 35 years until his death in 1341. He had a son named Ahmed Shihaabuddheen and two daughters Khadhijah and Raadhafathi, all of whom later became rulers of the Maldives. He was succeeded by his son Ahmed Shihaabuddheen.

Al-Sultan Dhihei Kalaminjaa II Siri Dhagatha Abaarana Mahaaradhun was the Sultan of the Maldives from 1199 to 1214. He ascended the throne after the death of his elder brother Dhinei in 1199. He was the sixth sultan to ascend the throne of Maldives from the Lunar dynasty. He ruled for 15 years.

Al- Sultana Dhaain Kambaidhi Kilege Sri Nithaa Abaarana Mahaa Rehendhi, was the Sultana regnant of the Maldives from 1383 to 1388.

Sultan Hassan Al-Hilaaly I, Sri Veera Bovana Mahaa Radhun was the first sultan to ascend the throne of Maldives from the Hilaalee dynasty by abolishing the dynasty which had ruled the Maldives for more than two centuries. He ascended the throne of The Maldives in 1388.

Sultan Ibraahim, Sri dhanmaru Veeru Mahaa radhun was Sultan of the Maldives briefly in 1398 and again from 1412 to 1420. He was the eldest son of Sultan Hassan I of the Maldives. He ruled the country for four months in 1398 before abdicating in favour of his uncle Hussain.

Sultan Haji Hassan III Sri Dhaadha Veeru Mahaa Radhun was the sultan of Maldives from 1443 to 1467. He ascended the throne after the death of his father, Sultan Abookuru I. In his 25th year of reign he chose to pay a visit to Mecca for Hajj and he made his young son as the regent while he was away. While he was in Mecca he was deposed by Sayyidh Muhammad.

Sultan Ibrahim Iskandhar Sri kularanmeeba Kathiri Bavana Mahaa Radun was the sultan of Maldives from 1648 to 1687. He was the son of HH Sultan Muhammad Imaduddin I and Kabaa Aisha. Iskandar ascended to the throne of Maldives at age 18, after the death of his father. During his reign, he rebuilt the Malé Hukuru Miskiy in Malé and began educating his people by teaching the Qur'an. Iskandar died in 1687 after ruling nearly for 40 years. He was succeeded by his son Kuda Muhammad under the regency of his consort Mariyam Kaba'afa'anu Rani Kilege.

Sultan Nasiruddin I Sri Veeru Abarana Mahaa Radun was the sultan of the sultanate of Maldives. He ascended to the Lion throne of Maldives in 1409 after the death of Sultan Hassan Al Hilaaly I. Sultan Nasiruddine ruled the country for three years until his death in 1411. It is believed that he was a descendant of lunar dynasty.
