Hayden Brian Reid (born 24 January 1978) is a New Zealand former professional rugby union player and rugby sevens international. [1] He is now a Pastor with the Curate Church. [2]

Biography

Reid was raised on a kiwifruit orchard in Te Puke and attended Te Puke High School. [2]

A utility back, Reid began playing with Otago in 1999 after moving to Dunedin for university and he appeared once for the Highlanders during the 2001 Super 12 season. [2] [3] He returned to the north island in 2002 and played twice for the Blues while attached to North Harbour. [2] [4] After two years back home competing with the Bay of Plenty, Reid played professional rugby in Italy from 2006 to 2010, with two seasons each at Viadana and Roma. [2]

Reid is a former maths teacher at Tauranga Boys College and has been a Pastor since 2014. [2]

Keith Davis was a New Zealand rugby union player who played for both New Zealand and New Zealand Māori. He played for Auckland, and won the Ranfurly Shield in his first ever provincial game. After gaining All Blacks selection in 1952, Davis toured with the team to Europe and North America in 1953–54. He played extensively for New Zealand Māori between 1952 and his retirement in 1959; his time with the team included matches against both South Africa and the British Lions. George Iles was a winger and centre who played for the New Zealand rugby league team. He debuted for them in 1919 and became Kiwi number 125. He played his club rugby league for the Grafton Athletic and Newton Rangers teams in the Auckland Rugby League competition. He later moved to Tauranga and played for Tauranga and Bay of Plenty at rugby union including against the touring Springbok team in 1921.
