The Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 is an act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
The act bans retailers from selling nicotine-inhaling products, including e-cigarettes and e-liquids, to people younger than 18 years of age. [1] The act prohibits smoking in cars with children. [2]
The Department of Health is required to conduct a study over a possible tax on sugar sweetened drinks. [3] A duty is place on the Department to promote organ transplantation. [4]
The provisions relating to selling nicotine-inhaling products to children and smoking in cars with children came into force on 1 February 2022. [5]
