Heard It All Before: Live at the HiFi Bar is the third live album by rock band Clutch. The album was recorded in Melbourne, Australia, on 13 December 2007, and released immediately after the shows end to the crowd, and also online. The first four tracks of the first disc are done by The Bakerton Group, an instrumental rock band, which is a side project of all Clutch members.

Clutch (band) American rock band

Clutch is an American rock/metal band from Germantown, Maryland. Its four members met while in high school in Germantown and consider themselves a Frederick-based band where they write and rehearse for every album and tour. Since its formation in 1991, the band line-up has included Tim Sult, Dan Maines (bass), Jean-Paul Gaster (drums), and Neil Fallon. To date, Clutch has released twelve studio albums, and several rarities and live albums. Since 2008 the band have been signed to their own record label, Weathermaker.

The Bakerton Group is an instrumental blues jam band and the side project of the blues rock outfit Clutch. They incorporate elements of blues-rock, psychedelic rock, and jazz.

Steve Smith (musician) American drummer

Steven Bruce Smith is an American drummer best known as a member of the rock band Journey, rejoining the group for the third time in 2015. Modern Drummer magazine readers have voted him the No. 1 All-Around Drummer five years in a row. In 2001, the publication named Smith one of the Top 25 Drummers of All Time, and in 2002 he was voted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey on April 7, 2017.

Per Wiberg Swedish musician

Per Jonas Wiberg is the former keyboardist of Swedish progressive death metal band Opeth, and a member of Michael Amott's stoner metal band Spiritual Beggars. Wiberg toured with Opeth from the 2003 Deliverance/Damnation tour onward, and joined Opeth officially in 2005. Wiberg provided backing vocals for Opeth in addition to his keyboard duties. Before joining Spiritual Beggars he was a member of Death Organ, a band based in Borlänge. He has also fronted the band Boom Club, of the same area.

Sixty Watt Shaman is an American rock band known for incorporating hard rock with blues, southern rock, doom rock, punk rock and metal influences, originally based out of Eldersburg, Baltimore County, Montgomery County, and Montgomery Village, Maryland. James Robbins is an American rock music artist. He began his career as a bassist for Government Issue, and has also led five of his own bands: Jawbox, Rollkicker Laydown, Burning Airlines, Channels and Office Of Future Plans. He was a touring bassist for Scream and played bass on the debut 7" from Jack Potential, which was issued by DeSoto Records in 1993. Weathermaker Music is the record label owned by the American rock band Clutch and their manager Jack Flanagan. Weathermaker Music LLC was formed in June 2008. Weathermaker Music was mostly known to work with Clutch and their side project, the psychedelic jazz-rock alter ego The Bakerton Group. In 2012 Weathermaker signed and released product by The Company Band, and The Mob. Both groups include Weathermaker Music principal owners. On March 19, 2013 Weathermaker Music released the Clutch record ”Earth Rocker” on CD and vinyl. At the end of 2013 Weathermaker Music released “Earth Rocker Live” which is a double 12 inch vinyl picture disc version of the “Earth Rocker” studio release on one LP, and the same track listing recorded live from various cities on their 2013 US tour on the second LP. In 2013 Weathermaker Music signed Deep Swell, featuring Clutch member Tim Sult on guitar. Their record, “Lore of the Angler” was released October 15, 2013. Weathermaker Music signed the Maryland-based group Lionize in 2013 as well. Entitled “Jetpack Soundtrack”, this Lionize record was released on February 18, 2014 in North America, April 11th, 2014 in Europe, and February 14, 2014 in the UK. The Lionize signing marks the label’s first signing of an independent artist to Weathermaker Music.

The album was released in 2007 and contains 8 tracks with a running time of over half an hour. Mick Schauer, who first joined Clutch in 2005, was also enlisted to The Bakerton Group as organist. The album design and artwork was done by Eno Kalkin.
