Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 2002. The band's original lineup was composed of Alex Kapranos, Nick McCarthy, Bob Hardy, and Paul Thomson. Julian Corrie and Dino Bardot joined the band in 2017 after McCarthy left during the previous year. The band has been notable for being one of the more popular post-punk revival bands, garnering multiple UK top 20 hits. They have been nominated for several Grammy Awards and have received two Brit Awards – winning one for Best British Group – as well as one NME Award.
"We're in This Together" is a three-disc single by industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails for the song of the same name released in 1999. It is the 15th official Nine Inch Nails release and is a single for the album The Fragile.
"Sometimes When We Touch" is a 1977 ballad written by Dan Hill (lyrics) and Barry Mann (music) on the album Longer Fuse and also released that year as a single. It was Hill's biggest hit, peaking at #3 on the United States Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Musicians included Bobby Ogdin (piano), Larrie Londin (drums), Bob Mann (guitar), Don Potter (guitar), Tom Szczesniak (bass). The record was produced by Fred Mollin and Matthew McCauley, recorded at Manta Sound, Toronto.
"Build God, Then We'll Talk" is the fifth and final official single from Panic! at the Disco's 2005 album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, including the radio-only single "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage".
"Brothers in Arms" is a 1985 song by Dire Straits, appearing as the closing track on the album of the same name. It was written in 1982, the year of the Falklands War. It was re-released in 2007 as a special edition to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the conflict and raise funds for veterans of it with posttraumatic stress disorder.

Most of the song is singing with Jacoby singing in the verses and also choruses. The song follows the band's hard rock sound of their previous album. The song hit American radio stations on August 7, 2006. The song was played in full on Kerrang! Radio in the United Kingdom on August 1, 2006 and has since become available to download via the iTunes Store and Walmart Downloads store as a radio edit version. On September 18 the single became available in UK stores as a 7" vinyl picture disc with a complimentary Papa Roach sticker. The CD was released on October 11, 2006. The song was served as the official theme song for WWE Raw on the USA Network from October 9, 2006 to November 9, 2009. The song has risen to #8 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks and #14 on the Modern Rock Tracks and played during the theatrical trailer of the 2008 film Never Back Down.
"Sacrifice" is a ballad performed by musician Elton John. The lyrics are by Bernie Taupin and the music by John. The song appears on the 1989 album Sleeping with the Past. It was first released in October 1989, then in 1990, and was the second single from the album. It achieved success, particularly in France and the UK, where it became his first solo chart-topper, spending five weeks at the top.
"Hustler Musik" is the second single from Lil Wayne's 2005 album Tha Carter II. Although popular it failed to live up on the Billboard chart to other singles put out by Lil Wayne. The song received airplay on East Coast radio stations and moderate airplay elsewhere, and a music video was also shot for it which also received moderate airplay. Lil Wayne has stated that this was one of his favorite songs he ever recorded. A remix was made sampling Anita Baker's "Mystery".
"Hurt" is a song by American hip hop recording artist T.I., released as the third official single from his fifth studio album T.I. vs. T.I.P. (2007). The song, produced by Danja, features guest appearances from fellow American rappers Busta Rhymes and Alfamega.
"Guilty Until Proven Innocent" is the third and final single from rapper Jay-Z's 2000 album The Dynasty: Roc La Familia. It features production by Rockwilder and a chorus sung by R. Kelly. The song's title flips the legal declaration "innocent until proven guilty" and its lyrics follow suit. Jay-Z's lyrics deal with how the press villainized Jay-Z by accusing him of stabbing his once business partner Lance "Un" Rivera. Jay-Z later admitted to stabbing Rivera and was sentenced to 3 years probation for the incident. "Guilty Until Proven Innocent" is also one of the first collaborations between Jay-Z and R. Kelly before they released two albums together.
"Into the Night" is the first single from Santana's 2007 compilation album, Ultimate Santana. The track features Chad Kroeger from Nickelback. It has received a considerable amount of airplay on VH1. Dania Ramirez of Heroes stars in the music video. The song has peaked at number 26 in the United States and number four in Australia.
"An deiner Seite " is the third single from the album Zimmer 483 from band Tokio Hotel. The song's translated version By Your Side was released simultaneously in non-German-speaking countries with exactly the same video. "By Your Side" is included in the band's album Scream.
"Ride It" is the first single from Jay Sean's second album My Own Way. It was written by Jay Sean himself and Alan Sampson. It was released on 21 January 2008. The song reached the Top 20 in the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #11. The single was also very successful and one of the most overplayed songs in Eastern Europe, particularly in Russia, Bulgaria and Romania, where it became one of the top three best-selling singles of the year. A Hindi version of the song was also included in the Indian release of the album My Own Way.
"Nine in the Afternoon" is a song by American rock band Panic at the Disco, and the first single from the group's second album Pretty. Odd.. It is the band's first song release that did not include the exclamation mark at the end of the "Panic" in the group's name, and was also the first song written for the album. The video was filmed on December 20 and December 21, 2007. It was the first song written after the band decided to scrap an entire album of songs that the members had been planning to release in the autumn of 2007. Panic at the Disco's first performance of "Nine in the Afternoon" was at Virgin Festival 2007. The song has undergone changes in key and lyrics since first being performed. This song was number 44 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2008.
"Girls Around the World" is a song by American recording artist Lloyd. The song features rapper Lil Wayne and was written by Lloyd, along with Dwayne Carter, Eric Barrier, and William Griffin. The song was produced by his production team, Big Reese and Jasper Cameron, who also produced his breakthrough hit, "You", which also featured Lil Wayne. The song served as the lead single for Lloyd's third studio album Lessons in Love. "Girls Around the World" received positive to mixed reviews from critics, some of whom noted it as generic, and others named it as a top track from the album. It reached sixty-four on the Billboard Hot 100 and thirteen on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The song samples "Paid in Full" by hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim. Lil Wayne's verse heavily reflects and interpolates Rakim's verse in "Paid in Full".
"Not as We" is a 2008 song from Alanis Morissette's seventh studio album, Flavors of Entanglement. The song premiered on the American television series House in season 4 of episode 3, "97 Seconds". "Not as We" was remixed and released as the second single from Flavors of Entanglement in North America, while "In Praise of the Vulnerable Man" was released as the second single in Europe. The single was released to radio on October 13, 2008. On November 25, 2008 the Not as We (Remixes) EP was released in Canada. The EP includes the radio edit and six other remixes.

"Strong Again" is a song by British hip hop trio, N-Dubz. It is the sixth single from their debut album Uncle B and was produced by Kano and Fraser T Smith. It was later the B-side to "We Dance On", which would eventually be the first single from their third studio album, Love.Live.Life. Both songs were included on the StreetDance Soundtrack. On 28 January 2009, the song was added to Radio 1's A-List, becoming their first single to do so. The single was released as a digital download on 9 February 2009. The song "Wouldn't You" was originally intended to be the sixth single, however, it was later released as the seventh single instead.
"Swingin'" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music singer John Anderson. It was released in January 1983 as the second single from his album Wild & Blue. The song was the second of five Number One singles in Anderson's career, spending one week at the top of the Hot Country Songs charts. It also received a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, and received a Single of the Year award from the Country Music Association. Anderson re-recorded the song for his 1994 album Country 'til I Die on BNA Records. This re-recording served as the b-side to the album's title track, which was also the first single from it. In addition to LeAnn Rimes, Chris Young performed an acoustic cover of "Swingin'" for his 2010 EP Voices.
"Stin Pira" is the second single from Greek singer Anna Vissi's 2008 album Apagorevmeno. Composed by Alex Papaconstantinou with lyrics by Myrto Kontova, the dance song had been a radio hit since the album's release. The single had a 12-week run in the Top 10 of the Greek Singles Chart published by Billboard. It debuted at number ten and peaked at number three for three non-consecutive weeks. The song is commonly referred to as Tsoules, a part of the lyrics, also the center of controversy.
