Miesque was a champion Thoroughbred racemare. At age three, she was a dual Classic winner in France and Britain, then went on to win the Breeders' Cup Mile in America. Her four-year-old campaign was highlighted by another win in the Mile, making her the first horse to win two consecutive Breeders' Cup races. She was a Group One/Grade I (G1) winner at two, three and four-years-old, for a total of 10 G1 wins. She was inducted into the American Racing Hall of Fame in 1999.

The Prix Jacques Le Marois is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to thoroughbred colts and fillies aged three years or older. It is run at Deauville over a distance of 1,600 metres, and it is scheduled to take place each year in August.

East of the Moon was a French Thoroughbred racehorse. She was bred in the United States by Flaxman Holdings Ltd., the breeding arm of the racing stables of shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos. She was sired by multiple American Grade 1 winner Private Account, a son of U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee, Damascus. Her dam was Niarchos's French star and U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee, Miesque who twice won the Breeders' Cup Mile.
Woodman (1983–2007) was an American-bred Thoroughbred racehorse who raced in Ireland but who is best known as a sire of a number of important racehorses.
Taiki Shuttle was an American-bred, Japanese-trained thoroughbred race horse and stallion. He won races at the highest level both home and abroad, most notably winning the Mile Championship (twice), Yasuda Kinen, and Sprinters Stakes in Japan and the Prix Jacques Le Marois in France. Taiki Shuttle was honored as the Japanese Racing Association's (JRA) Champion Sprinter in both 1997 and 1998, and was named the Japan Horse of the Year in 1998, along with Champion Older Male Horse.
Be My Guest was an American-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and champion sire in Britain. He was bred in Kentucky by Walter Haefner, a Swiss businessman and owner of Moyglare Stud Farm in Ireland. Sired by Northern Dancer, his dam was What a Treat, the 1965 American Champion Three-Year-Old Filly and a daughter of the 1947 2,000 Guineas Stakes winner, Tudor Minstrel.
Northern Trick was an American-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare. In a racing career which lasted from April to October 1984 she won four of her six races. She established herself as the best three-year-old filly in Europe by winning the Prix de Diane and the Prix Vermeille before finishing second in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. She was then retired to stud and had some success as a broodmare.
Light Shift was an American-bred, British-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare best known for winning the 2007 Epsom Oaks. In a racing career which lasted from June 2006 to October 2007 the filly ran nine times and won four races. After winning once as a two-year-old, Light Shift won the Cheshire Oaks on her second appearance as a three-year-old. She then won the Classic Oaks over one and a half miles at Epsom, beating the Irish filly Peeping Fawn. Light Shift never won another race, being beaten by Peeping Fawn in the Irish Oaks and the Nassau Stakes and finishing unplaced in the Prix de l'Opéra.
Bellypha was an Irish-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. Despite never winning a Group One race, Bellypha was one of the highest-rated racehorses of his generation in Europe at both two and three years of age. In eleven racecourse appearances, Bellypha won six races including the Prix Thomas Bryon, Prix de La Jonchere, Prix Daphnis and Prix Quincey, but produced his best effort in defeat when narrowly beaten by Irish River in the Prix Jacques Le Marois. He later became a successful breeding stallion in France and Japan.
Polar Falcon was an American-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. Unraced as a two-year-old he showed promising form at three while appearing to be slightly below top class. He reached his peak as a four-year-old when he won the Prix Edmond Blanc in France before taking two major prizes in England. In May he defeated the leading filly In The Groove in the Lockinge Stakes over a mile and in September he beat a strong field to win the Ladbroke Sprint Cup over six furlongs. As a breeding stallion he is best known as the sire of Pivotal. He died in 2001 at the age of fourteen.
Lichine was an American-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse who sold for a record-setting $1.7 million as a yearling in 1980. Although he never threatened to repay his auction price, he was a useful racehorse, winning the Listed Prix de Suresnes as a three-year-old and finishing placed in several Group races.
Lianga was an American-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare. Equally adept as a sprinter or as a miler, she won eleven of her twenty-one contests in a racing career which lasted from May 1973 until November 1975. She won her first four races as a two-year-old including the Prix du Bois and the Prix Robert Papin. In the following year she won the Prix Imprudence and Prix Maurice de Gheest. Lianga reached her peak as a four-year-old in 1975 when she recorded victories in the July Cup, Prix Jacques Le Marois, Prix de l'Abbaye and Vernons Sprint Cup and was rated the best older female racehorse in Europe by Timeform, ahead of Allez France and Dahlia. After her retirement from racing she became an influential broodmare whose female-line descendants have included Danehill Dancer and Street Sense.
Karakontie is a Japanese-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He was one of the best French-trained two-year-olds of 2013 when he won three of his four races including the Prix La Rochette and Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère. He returned to win the Poule d'Essai des Poulains on his second start as a three-year-old but was given a long break after running poorly in the Prix du Jockey Club. On his return to the track in autumn he recorded his biggest win when taking the Breeders' Cup Mile.
Chimes of Freedom was an American-bred British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare. Bred in Kentucky by her owner Stavros Niarchos she was sent to race in England where she was trained by Henry Cecil. She was one of the best juvenile fillies of her generation in Europe, winning four of her five races including the Cherry Hinton Stakes in Britain and the Moyglare Stud Stakes in Ireland. In the following year she did not contest any of the classics but recorded major victories in the Coronation Stakes and the Child Stakes. After being retired at the end of the season she became a highly successful broodmare, producing several major winners.
Lycius was an American-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He showed excellent form as a juvenile in 1990, finishing second in the Prix de la Salamandre before traveling to England to win the Group One Middle Park Stakes. In 1991 he recorded a string of top-class performances without managing to win again: he finished second in the 2000 Guineas, July Cup and Prix Jacques Le Marois and third in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and Prix du Moulin. He was retired at the end of the year and had some success as a breeding stallion.
Shiva was a Japanese-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare. In a racing career which was delayed and repeatedly interrupted by training problems she won four of her ten races between May 1998 and October 2000. Unraced as a two-year-old, she won her only start at three and emerged as a top-class middle distance performer in the spring of 1999 with wins in the Earl of Sefton Stakes and Tattersalls Gold Cup and went on to finish second in the Champion Stakes in autumn. As a five-year-old she recorded an emphatic win in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes and then finished third in a strongly contested edition of the Eclipse Stakes. After her retirement from racing she had some success as a dam of winners.
Study of Man is an Irish-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. After winning his only race as a juvenile in 2017 he developed into a top-class performer in the following spring, finishing second in the Prix La Force and winning the Prix Greffulhe before recording his biggest victory in the Prix du Jockey Club. He never won again but ran second in both the Prix Ganay and Prix d'Ispahan as a four-year-old in 2019.
