"Hej tomtegubbar" ("Hey, tomte-men") is a Swedish drinking song, also used as a children's round dance at Christmastime.
The tune was originally published in 1815, without lyrics. Parts of the lyrics exist in an 1833 record. It's also said that in 19th century Scania, the "Nigarepolskan" melody was used. Under that title, the song appeared in several compilations of singing games, starting in 1898.
In the 20th century, the use of the song as a drinking song begun.

"Hey, Slavs" is a patriotic song dedicated to the Slavs and widely considered to be the Pan-Slavic anthem. It was adapted and adopted as the national anthem of various Slavic-speaking nations, movements and organizations during the late 19th and 20th century.
"Ja, vi elsker dette landet" is the Norwegian national anthem. Originally a patriotic song, it came to be commonly regarded as the de facto national anthem of Norway in the early 20th century, after being used alongside "Sønner av Norge" since the 1860s. It was officially adopted in 2019. The lyrics were written by Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson between 1859 and 1868, and the melody was written by his cousin Rikard Nordraak sometime during the winter of 1863 and 1864. It was first performed publicly on 17 May 1864 in connection with the 50th anniversary of the constitution. Usually only the first and the last two verses are sung, with the first being by far the most common.
"Nad Tatrou sa blýska" is the national anthem of Slovakia. The origins of it are in the Central European activism of the 19th century. Its main themes are a storm over the Tatra mountains that symbolized danger to the Slovaks, and a desire for a resolution of the threat. It used to be particularly popular during the 1848–1849 insurgencies.

The game dates to at least the 17th century in Franconia, and probably derives from a more ancient drinking and gambling game. References to "Snip, snap, snorum", which seems to be the original English spelling, go back to at least 1755.

"Boten Anna" is a song by Swedish musician Basshunter, from his first studio album, LOL. Following the single's release in 2006, Basshunter gained popularity in his native Sweden, as well as Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Poland and the Netherlands. The song topped hit charts and, on 3 May 2006, was named Norway's official Russ-song of the year. It was also the most popular song at The Gathering LAN party 2006. An English version titled "Now You're Gone", sung by Sebastian Westwood, using unrelated lyrics, was released in December 2007.
"Lily the Pink" is a 1968 song released by the UK comedy group The Scaffold, which reached No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart. It is a modernisation of an older folk song titled "The Ballad of Lydia Pinkham". The lyrics celebrate the "medicinal compound" invented by Lily the Pink, and humorously chronicle the "efficacious" cures it has brought about, such as inducing morbid obesity to cure a weak appetite, or bringing about a sex change as a remedy for freckles.
Svante Thuresson was a Swedish jazz musician. He started his career as a drummer before joining the band Gals and Pals in 1963. Svante won the national selection and represented Sweden in the Eurovision song contest in 1966 with Nygammal vals and came in second place; he performed with Lill Lindfors.

"Det är advent" or Ett litet barn av Davids hus, is a Swedish Advent song with lyrics written by Britt G. Hallqvist in 1966 and music by Olle Widestrand. Music is often mentioned to have been published in 1981, but sources say the tune is older, and was in use already in the 1970s, as the song is published in Swedish 1977 children’s songbook Smått å Gott.
Raska fötter springa tripp, tripp, tripp or just Raska fötter, is a Christmas song, originally published in Julklappen in 1901. The song, originally entitled Liten julvisa, describes a time when on several places in Sweden, the Christmas goat was still the Christmas giftbringer, and not Santa Claus. Sigrid Sköldberg-Pettersson (1870–1941) wrote lyrics while Emmy Köhler (1858–1925) wrote music.
Lakodalmas, commonly translated into English as Wedding Dance, is an early vocal composition by Hungarian composer György Ligeti. It was completed in 1950, before he finished his musical studies.
Julpolska, also known as Nu ha vi ljus här i vårt hus, is a Christmas song with lyrics by Rafael Hertzberg (1845-1896) and music by Johanna Ölander (1827-1909). Song lyrics describe Christmas Eve, dated from a time when the Christmas goat at many places still was the giftbringer, not Santa Claus.
"Räven raskar över isen" is an old Swedish folksong performed as a singing game when dancing around the Christmas tree and the midsummer pole. The opening verses are often "flickornas visa" or "pojkarnas visa". After that, the verses may vary. However, the "songs" of Grin-Olle and Skratt-Olle are common.
"Hej, sa Petronella" is a song with lyrics by Lennart Hellsing and music by Knut Brodin, and published in 1957 in Våra visor I. The song deals with fictional person Petronella from Plaskeby, and the theme is trying to be happy in all conditions and weather. Creating a boat out of items is a common theme in many fairy tales. The melody is based on a folk tune.
Tjena, vi är Busungarna was released in December 1984, and is a studio album by Busungarna. The album consists of something as uncommon as Christmas songs on an album that's not a strictly Christmas album. The theme of changing seasons returns with the final track "Äntligen sommarlov.
Fader Bergström, stäm upp och klinga is one of the Swedish poet and performer Carl Michael Bellman's songs, from his 1790 collection, Fredman's Epistles, where it is No. 63. The melody is based on a minuet by Carl Envallsson. Bergström was a musician, and the song celebrates dancing and drinking late into the evening. The song, written in 1773, was revised heavily to make it suitable for publication. The initial version, naming Movitz not Bergström as the musician, was an attack on an over-zealous priest who had caused Bellman to be summonsed for an earlier poem that had joked about salvation. The song has been recorded by Bellman interpreters including Fred Åkerström, Fredrik Berg, and Rolf Leanderson.
Nå skruva fiolen is Epistle No. 2 in the Swedish poet and performer Carl Michael Bellman's 1790 song collection, Fredman's Epistles. The epistle is subtitled "Till fader Berg, rörande fiolen". It is both about and mimicking the rhythm of playing the violin. The scholar Lars Lönnroth comments that Bellman used the resemblance of a cello to a woman's body, certainly pretending to play it as such for laughs, while the use of words like "screw" in the lyrics was similarly explicitly obscene. The Bellman interpreter Fred Åkerström recorded the song on his 1974 album Glimmande nymf.
