Helen Nakimuli (born 2 July 1985) is a Ugandan politician and legislator, volleyball player, member of the eleventh Parliament of Uganda for Kalangala District. [1] [2] [3] She is a member of the National Unity Platform (NUP). [1] [4]
Nakimuli was born in Lukuba village, Kyamuswa sub-county in Kalangala to an Orthodox priest, Rev. Father Christopher Walusimbi and Maria Nalwanga Walusimbi a former Kalangala District councillor for Kyamuswa and Bubeke. [4] [2] Nakimuli started her education at Bukasa Primary school, Hormisdallen Primary School in Bweyogerere in Wakiso , Our Lady of Good Counsel in Gayaza for her Ordinary Level, St. Augustine secondary school in Wakiso for her Advanced level before joining Makerere University. Nakimuli's political career begun at St. Augustine secondary school as a head girl. [4] She defeated Aidah Nabayiga to be become the member of parliament for Kalangala District [5]
Nakimuli has been a volleyball player since 1998. [1] She was the captain of the ladies’ volleyball team that went for East Africa Parliamentary Games in Arusha, Tanzania. [1] She is a member of the COBAP Volleyball Club. [1] She helped windows of Kalangala to get lawyers when other people want to take their late husbands' property. [4] Nakimuli donated relief which included food, soap among other things to the elderly people in Kalangala District. [6] Nakimuli gave relief to the people of whose houses were burnt. [3] Nakimuli appealed to the State minister for microfinance, Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo to include the island Districts of Buvuma and Namayingo to the list of Emyooga funds [7]

Kalangala, also known as Ssesse, is a district in Central Uganda. The district is coterminous with the Ssese Islands in Lake Victoria and does not have territory on mainland Uganda. Like other Ugandan districts, it is named after its 'chief town', Kalangala which is located on Bugala Island, the largest of the Ssese Islands.To reach Kalangala town on Bugala island one has to board a boat at specified points or use one of the Ferries sailing through the Bukakata-Luku route that joins the town with the mainland in Masaka District. There is also a relatively longer route that passes via Nakiwogo in Wakiso district to connect to Lutoboka on Bugala Island.
Amelia Anne Kyambadde is a Ugandan politician, philanthropist and Women activist. She is the Senior Presidential Advisor on Industry to the President of Uganda. She served as the Cabinet Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives in the Ugandan Cabinet from 2016 to 2021. She replaced Kahinda Otafiire, who was appointed Minister for Justice.
